But he does have all the marketing rights, quite n an income - good luck to him having ensured he makes a very good living when he is too old to play anymore

The likes of Becks will always land on his feet, it's the way the fella goes about his way of life that makes him so likeable & things like this just increases his likeability.

I wrote to becks back in 2002 when he was fighting to be fit for the World Cup, if you remember he had a little problem with his metatarsal or sumat:) Just dropped him a line, sent it to David Beckham Alderley Hedge, Cheshire, and hoped for the best. I had been using a machine for years which helped to dull pain and speed up the healing of broken bones, I still use it occasionally for back pain. it was called a pain 2000 and was pioneered by a firm in Clitheroe, just thought it might help. I posted the letter and forgot about it. Ten days later I received a reply in a hand written envelope with a signed photo in with many thanks for you help David, that guy went up in my estimation, the fact that he took the trouble to reply personally, he'll do for me.

In spite of all the slagging he has received over the years he can certainly be considered a great role model rather than some of the idiots we have to put up with today

Only as far as the Frogs are concerned because they'll be missing out on a big chunk of Lucre due to him donating his earnings to a charity. :)
