Iv'e stuck in a couple of my new toy too for Roys benefit , the boss has named it 'The Tractor' but i love it!!

if i remeber correctly its held once a year at tong by the pennine landrover club i think their called , i had only been doing off road comping for a couple of years when my m8 quit due to back problems

my job was to sit in the passanger seat ,hold on tight and hope my m8 didnt kill me lol

its been a long time since i went racing at tong infact the last time i was there my buddy ended upside down in the water and nearly drowned, its a good job i decided to sit that race out because it was me who pulled him out from under his series 2a 3 and a quater v8 when his rear wheels went over the embankment flipping him upside down and landing on his rollcage in the water :D

do they still serve theakstons old perculiar at the events it was always stronger at the events than at the pub but damn did it give you a bad ass the next day :D

ahhh happy memories although i dont miss freezing my nuts off :)

i dont know wingy but from what i can gather he would be the better person to ask

drop him a private message if he is a member of an off road club he will probably have a booklet with dates and events

The offroad days at tong that i hve been to for the last 7 yrs have been organised by Club Off Road. But in the last 12 months the organiser has been strugling for a date at the venue due to big companies hireing it out for the day. If your interested in a driving day there are more options though. Once a month there is a driving day at a quarry in Briercliffe which is good, and there's a good bit of green laning within an hours drive. If your interested in land Rovers we have a site dedicated to such beasts!!!!! Take a look at www.landyzone.co.uk I'm sure you'l be impressed!! there's loads of pics in there from the Brier site to tempt you into a bit of mud plugging!! and if you fancy it let me know, i'm sure there will be a few farmilliar faces around..
