Which do you think is the greatest looking car ever made? Maybe the E type or the Ferrari 250GTO or maybe even the Aston Martin DB7? What do you think?

Im guessing you mean GT model? If so id say no. If you want a bently id go for something alittle different. The reason is simple...
If you buy a continental GT you are buying a very expensive luxury sports coupe. Its no suprise it does nearly 200. Its no suprise it does 0-60 in under 5 seconds and its no suprise it handles like a GT car should. Its like buying a bottle of water and opening it to find water. BUT and this is a big but you buy a....... Continental Flying Spur its like opening the same bottle and finding a mixture of rocket fuel and vodka. This is a 4 door saloon that still does 0-60 in under 5 seconds and tops out at only 3MPH less than the GT. This is a gentlemans car while the GT is a company car. And just say it slowly... Panther's gets it for me, most definitely.
The Veyron is a superb car. Cost around 5 million to make but they sold the finished ones at about 300,000 I think. Bugatti made massive losses obviously but they wore their heart on their sleeve making that beautiful machine. Anyone see the Top Gear where Jezzer road tested it? I would highly recommend it, just make sure its a nice one. The 2.8i V6 ive got is just stunning in almost every way, love the sound of the engine (you have to do really its that loud).
There are problems with owning a car of this age, not everything is quite as crisp as a newer car. The gear box can be abit stiff from cold, have to give it abit of gas when starting from cold, but i think they were like that new as well lol |

I can also recommend the Alfa 156, magical car that, having driven lots of cars, some of which faster than the alfa, some of which slower but still good i have to say there is no car that gives me a smile quite as much, awesome engine, great round the twisty stuff, loads of electronic toys to play with and more to the point these days you can buy a X reg 2000 156 2.0 with low miles, full leather and sport pack for about 1500 with a full history and what not.

Id love a capri, dont think insurance companies would be too keen though, not quite got round to getting my licence yet, so dont think it would make a very good first car lol. So for now think ill stick with my plans to get a saxo vtr, not too bad to insure and has enough performance to keep me happy for a few year (although after a few months ill no doubt play with it a little to see what i can improve).

Speedy you could probably insure a 2.8i V6 capri pretty cheap even on a new licence. As they are a classic car they are dirt cheap to insure. £250 for the year for me, with zero no claims, 3 points and 2 accidents in the past 5 years and im only 23.

Lmao @ aleks, 3year ago i would have loved that car, luckily my tastes have improved vastly since then, probably wont do anything to the outside of the car, just concentrate on the mechanical side of it, been on a saxo forum for a few months and got loads of inspiration and advice. I would love a capri but i think it would probably be a bit impractical for what i need, although i suppose i could get one as a weekend car, and insure on a limited mile policy. God you lot are a bad influence lol.

Not contenders for the most beautiful car ever, but does anyone recall the original Ford Capri's they were like a coupe version of the Ford Classic. Saw many Classic's as a child but only about 4 or 5 Capri's. Sorry if the pics are a bit poop, the Classic is the blue one, the Capri red :)
