People who drive well use there common sense, there have been times when ive touched 90 + mph to safley join a motorway where people have been travelling in the inside lane where people are trying to join the motorway. Its safer to speed past them then to brake to a halt. After all, they should move over to allow me to join. But they dont.

Moderation and common sense, not the blind following of the law will keep you safe on the road.

Ive done more than 20mph through Accrington but have seen others doing 40mph.

u give way on the slip road

The Road Traffic Act says you give way to people on your right. You are in the wrong thinking they should give way. Try it with a heavy goods lorry and see who wins.

Maybe but a good driver expects cars to be approaching on the slip road and makes every effort to allow them to join the motorway.

Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme

yeah of course they do but you should always treat them as if they havent seen you as as you have no right of way then it should be the person joining looking for the spaces.

Very true, my error.

Ill scrap the Audi and buy a little mini for £50 then ill be no threat to anyone weather it to be on the road or to there egos.

Not all rules make safe sense, i dont do things which endanger my life and stopping on a slip road would endanger my life!!.

Your quote Not all Traffic rules make sense.
The road traffic rules have been created from years of driving knowledge, and they are there for a reason.
I've never had to stop on a slip road, if you anticipate whats coming on your right properly and adjust your speed, then whats the problem.

Some people try to race every one else, for what purpose, you nearly always come up behind them at the next hold up, and they are usually banging their hand on the steering wheel.

Oh RETLAW what it would be like to have a wise head on young shoulders.

I can only look forward to the day that i see the world with the clarity which you see it in.

Ill put my head back in my books and wait.

People that stop on the slip roads are dangerous, because others are coming up behind them trying to achieve the higher speeds that the rest of the motorway are doing.

I am sure if you had cut as many dead people out of cars that Walter will have you may think a little more like he does.

I really can't see the point in that.

they reckon its to ease congestion around busy junctions. TBH I think it does work to some degree if you are already on teh motorway but getting on them if much more of a pain.

Right on Neil. I have had to cut a lot of people out of cars. Seen a lot of dead bodies as well, and bits and pieces all over the road, but what pleased me most was when you are cuttng them out and trying to reasure them, render first aid, all the time thinking they won't survive, and then a couple of months later you see them again, walking around town, doing their shopping and such. And they never recognised me or the rest of the lads.
One of the worst was at Rising Bridge, near whats now Winfields. Three cars and 7 people badly injured, and the road suface was covered in ice. We had a few dicey moments getting there.

Audi wanted £1790 to take the 155mph limit off, crazy money considering.

The nicest feature of the car is the reversing camera which has 2 predictive lines to show you angle of approach as you turn the wheel.

Just one question .. what colour is it ? ..... :D:D
