Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme

Decided to change the audi to the new model RS6 Avant. Petrol heads amoung you will know all about the RS6!!.

The car scrappage seems a good idea but i got a far better deal without it, seems car dealers are non too keen on it at the moment.

Not sure why.

Car arrives friday :-)

Somtimes you have to treat yourself.

I had the last model for a few years now, but this new V10 5.0 RS6 Avant should do the trick for putting a smile on my face.

You know just what i mean as a fellow Audi driver

Beast of a car, hope you enjoy it.

One of my favorite cars is the Audi RS, the RS4 Avant would do for me though.:D

The noise is one of the best bits, IIRC it has a sport button that changes it from nice to Awesome.:)

It being an estate is its best bit, although i cant imagine my two dogs liking being in the back as it hits warp speed 9.:D

Even in normal drive mode it is a beast to handle. Pop into the 's' and you have a machine capable of taking on £150000 Italian super cars.

Audi wanted £1790 to take the 155mph limit off, crazy money considering.

The nicest feature of the car is the reversing camera which has 2 predictive lines to show you angle of approach as you turn the wheel.

Why would anyone want to go faster than 155 miles per hour - especially as the speed limit in England is 70

Track days, nothing sinister, just fun track days.

Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme

Why would anyone pay in the region of £50,000 for a brand new car to use on a track

TJH 03-06-2009 15:45

Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme

Region of £77000 and use it on a track

My choice, not all track days are races, you can go down and simply do a 1/4 or 1/2 or mile race in a straight line.

Allows you to stretch your vehicle and see what it could / can do.

For real track days my friend and i jointly own a TVR which is cheaper and far more aggresive.

Im sure there are remaping companies that would remove that for a lot less.

What the average MPG on the beast in "s" mode, 5/10 miles to the gallon.
