Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Decided to change the audi to the new model RS6 Avant. Petrol heads amoung you will know all about the RS6!!.
The car scrappage seems a good idea but i got a far better deal without it, seems car dealers are non too keen on it at the moment. Not sure why. Car arrives friday :-) |
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
I see you are dealing with your depression teh right way.... Anyone who feels down after driving one of those needs to give it to me! :D

Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Somtimes you have to treat yourself.
I had the last model for a few years now, but this new V10 5.0 RS6 Avant should do the trick for putting a smile on my face. You know just what i mean as a fellow Audi driver |
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Beast of a car, hope you enjoy it.
One of my favorite cars is the Audi RS, the RS4 Avant would do for me though.:D |
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
thankyou i intend to enjoy it!. The build quality its far above Mercedes. Its a real Wolf in Sheeps clothing.

Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Apart from that exhaust note....
How often do you hear a sheep GROWL......... :D |
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
very true, it does have a unique Growl to it. But its still an estate car :-)
|
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
a Family car by all intents.......
In fact I reckon the only thing coming out its exhausts are cute bunnys and fresh flowers... You don't have to convince me mate! |

It being an estate is its best bit, although i cant imagine my two dogs liking being in the back as it hits warp speed 9.:D |
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Even in normal drive mode it is a beast to handle. Pop into the 's' and you have a machine capable of taking on £150000 Italian super cars.
Audi wanted £1790 to take the 155mph limit off, crazy money considering. The nicest feature of the car is the reversing camera which has 2 predictive lines to show you angle of approach as you turn the wheel. |
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Why would anyone want to go faster than 155 miles per hour - especially as the speed limit in England is 70
|
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Track days, nothing sinister, just fun track days.
|
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Why would anyone pay in the region of £50,000 for a brand new car to use on a track
|
Re: Audi & The New Car Scrappage Scheme
Region of £77000 and use it on a track
My choice, not all track days are races, you can go down and simply do a 1/4 or 1/2 or mile race in a straight line. Allows you to stretch your vehicle and see what it could / can do. For real track days my friend and i jointly own a TVR which is cheaper and far more aggresive. |
