very subjective issue, Rocket 88 is the one i regard as the first, but some argue Fats Domino- the Fat Man 1949, a track i also love,but do not regard it as rocknroll, more a cross between R@B n Doo-Wap, subjective as i said! just listening to Be My Guest - Fats Domino which brought on that waffle.:D

James Skelly of The Coral is a good singer, he doesn't whinge and whine like Blunt or Bellamy!

Muse for me are the most pompous, self indulgent band since Pink Floyd. Utter rubbish!

This is why I love this site. The fact that music is totally individual and one persons classic is another ones ashtray holder comes across so brilliantly on here, but we are all mature enough to know it. It also helps us find some treasures that otherwise might have slipped us by.

Actually Shaker Bellamy's voice is a tad whiny but I have yet to see a better live band than them or Jane's Addiction.
