indie rock n roll that you can dance to in the clubs yet a lot of their songs have really clever lyrics if you're into that kinda thing.
Fake Tales of San Francisco & I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor are great tracks; Scummy is a good one aswell

Got back from the boozer and fished an album out from the depths of my collection that I haven't played for donkeys' years. It's called "Down By The Jetty" by Doctor Feelgood and it's a prime slice of no-holds-barred British R&B (REAL R&B, that is, not today's plastic variety). The band were from some obscure place called Canvey Island and the cover shows them standing on the Canvey shoreline, looking like used car dealers or extras from "Minder". Wonder what made me think of Canvey Island? :D :D :D

gonna go fall asleep to 'Urban Hymns' by The Verve; easily the best album of the past 10, maybe even 20 years.
