Re: Just great Guitar Solos
I agree with BG on this Jimi Hendrix is my favorite guitarist, he was way before his time, I have always wondered how far he would have gone if his life hadn't been cut so short, he packed a hell of a lot into his 27 years, his use of controlled feedback was something else, can't say anybody else has come even close to using it to the effect than Hendrix did

Re: Just great Guitar Solos
I saw Yes at Belle Vue in about 1970, he played the Clap live on stage.
Makes you want to give up playing altogether when you see someone that good. |
Re: Just great Guitar Solos
When I discovered Yes it was Trevor Rabin on guitar but I prefer the "classic" line-up with Steve Howe.
Yeah, I've nearly given up a few times. The last time was when I saw Fish do an acoustic gig - his guitarist was excellent! |
Re: Just great Guitar Solos
For a nice guitar solo try Neil Young with Crazyhorse playing Down By The River or Cowgirl In The Sand from his second album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere.
