To be fair on Cotty though the blunder by Bossu on Saturday was worse than any of Crichtons :)

According to the official site, Coley is "looking at bringing in a left back from a Coca Cola Championship side."

Does this mean that Richardson, who is on non-contract terms, is no longer at the club? I can't believe that we would want three left-backs.

This is exactly my point. There is no word to descibe how bad it was. And Timmins, Gordon Banks lmao. More like Jeff Banks you clown!!!

Bossu was known to all in football as a calamitous mess of a goalkeeper. He is absolutely crap. Stan Ternent called him a vanker to the press.

But then again, what do I know.

Fearon is now Stanley's number one!!!!!!

Leam Richardson is not a left-back. He's never played there in his life. He is predominantly a right-back with two-feet.

Re: Good news!!

Bossu came to us with a poor reputation and nothing I saw on Saturday made me disbelieve what I'd heard.

OK, so the first goal was a mistake, but if he'd looked solid after that then I could have put it down to 'just one of those things'. (Look at Schwartzer sp? for Middlesborough for example).

However, nothing he did on Saturday made me think that he was a good 'keeper and that unsettled the whole back-line. Crichton made some howlers, but he was nothing compared to Bossu.

I can find plenty of instances where he has played at left-back in his life ... with Rovers Youth team, at Bolton and at Blackpool

I'm glad that he is versatile enough to play as a full-back on either side, so maybe his profile on the official site should now be changed to reflect this. Either way, it does not seem to be the area on the field where we need to be looking for new players.

No but if there is an oppurtnuity to improve the left back then we should do no matter who we have got there at present shouldnt we?

Adam Cottier 22-08-2005 19:38

Re: Good news!!

There is a perfectly able left-back available in Chris Butler
