Preferential Ticket News

During this busy period of the season, and with the position that Accrington Stanley hold at the top of the Conference League it has been decided that in order to give Accrington Stanley fans first chance of getting onto the remainder of the games, IF they are due to sell-out, a preferential ticket voucher is the ideal solution. In this Saturday's programme vs Stevenage you will find within the programme a preferential ticket voucher. In the event of an all ticket match at the Interlink Express Stadium in 2005/2006 season, preferential tickets will be given out first to season ticket holders to purchase two additional tickets and then to those in possession of the Stevenage programme with the voucher inside. To keep up to date with forthcoming matchday ticket news please keep checking this website, the local press or the club on 01254 356950.

Not very clear on season ticket holders.... they dont need any vouchers at all to get into any of the games even if a sell out.... correct ?

Re: Preferential Ticket News

Right,

If you are a season ticket holder you will get first chance for two extra tickets to the games that may sell out. There will be a deadline for that and then once that deadline is ended those with the preferential voucher will be allowed one ticket per voucher. This is of course IF we get the impression that the games will sell out...............

Season ticket holders do not need the vouchers to be able to get their two extra tickets just their season ticket card.

Karen,
What would constitute a "sell out"?

Redraine

The sell out term really means if the club feels that a certain game is going to get more fans on than others, looking more to the last game of the season at home, then we will use the preferential vouchers. There are various areas such as the number of away fans, safety issues and such that have to be taken into consideration before making the judgement, but we will let everyone know in plenty of time what is happening through the official website, local media and at the club! Hope that helps!

Re: Preferential Ticket News

why not just give the vouchers out to every one

Re: Preferential Ticket News

Karen, I can see what the club is trying to do in order to avoid disappoint and ensure a measure of control, and I accept it’s up to individuals to buy a programme and secure a preferential ticket voucher. I accept faithfully that the club will be printing larger numbers of programmes in the hope of meeting demand.

But would it be possible for us to purchase one or more guaranteed entry tickets in advance for the games we want to see regardless of whether or not the games a sell out and then have entry via the Season Ticket Holders gate perhaps with a time condition that we get there an hour before. That would be on a “no show, no refund” basis of course.

this sounds a bit like rovers...

their staff couldnt organise a pi$$ up in a brewery either.......

surely the thing thing to do would be allocate 1 to every season ticket holder wheather they request one or not...

then on the day of the games the people that enter the ground are given another voucher thus meaning gauranteed entry to the next game and if you havnt got a voucher you dont get a ticket..( 2nd game onwards )....

when said number of voucher / tickets have been taken (refer to the last home gate attendance) after 6 days (to ensure said voucher holders have time to purchase) then put tickets on open sale :D

Re: Preferential Ticket News

Why does'nt the club just not sell tickets in advance?

KarenFaz 16-03-2006 14:16

Re: Preferential Ticket News

That is what we will do at the end IF needed like it all depends on numbers coming in, there will be deadlines for the season tickets and the preferential vouchers then it would be first come first served obviously, if we sold tickets in advance to anyone we could get people from all over the country the chance to come and yes that is good but I do want to give the core Accrington Stanley Fans chance to get their tickets first I think that this is a fair way. Everyone has a choice whether or not to buy a programme or not. But the option is there..........
