Fraser Eagle everything by the sounds of it! :D

Good on em though - certainly putting their money where their mouth is. If they want to pay to have their name plastered all over the club thats fine by me :) Well done Fraser Eagle for (what sounds like) your huge support of your local club! Setting a great example to other local businesses..

big WOW jimbo .. considering yer reaction when it was named IES :)

Is fraser eagle still gonna be on back of shirts as well as front?

Is grahame charnley (Interlink express) still gonna be involved? i cant see fraser eagle being as hands on as grahame who goes home and away and works at the match

addy on bit: oh and yeagh.. well done fraser eagle :)

Seeing as Mr Charnley is a director of the club then I'm sure he will continue as he as been.

It took me ages to stop calling it "The Crown Ground" :D

It'll always be affectionately known as the Crown Ground but I like the sound of the Fraser Eagle Stadium, it has a certain ring to it

yes but he was stadium manager or summat and i thought it was all "interlinked" with the package. maybe nothings changed.. but its worth asking :)

I realise now Kipax its business. My previous reaction was shock more than anything else I think. Dont get me wrong - I still dont agree with being able to buy the name of the ground but if someone wants to give the club a shed load of dosh to do it, who am I to complain? It will always be the Crown to me (and a few others)..

Of course its worth asking about Mr Charnley - it does say on the news that the club will still be working closely with Interlink so I would imagine Mr Charnley will still be involved... hope so anyway after all hes done over the last 3 years for the club...

Just imagine the confusion that would reign if there was a local successful business called Peel Park (i dont mean the pub) and they wanted to do this naming ground thing... :)

I wonder how long it will take for the opposition supporters from Division 2 to nickname the ground the "Freezing Pigeon Stadium"...or summat like it?

Lancashire Stan 10-05-2006 11:18

Re: Fraser Eagle stadium

I'm sure there's room at the stadium for the interlink name if Mr Charnley is willing to continue with sponsorship,
Interlink stand perhaps,
Interlink bar and conference center,
Interlink medical center,
Interlink Roof etc. etc. etc.
:)

well done Fraser Eagle

as a small boy I went to school across from their 4 coach garage on Tanpits lane in Church. If you go to Shuttleworth Mead Industrial Estate you will see a much larger operation now.

well done

Yeah it does have a ring to it, anyway even if some people dont like it, its still miles better than Kit Kat Cresent.

I read about this in the LET, where they banged on about about their 'We're backing Stanley' campaing over and over. Then, in the opinion article on the letters page, they stated that this season was evn better than our FA Cup run last year!! What run!? Losing to leigh in the Qualifying game does not sound like a run to me...

Outback Ozzy 10-05-2006 15:13

Re: Fraser Eagle stadium

Whoa Diesel thought that was the year before, didn't we lose to Worcester in a replay??

Good job i didnt get a shirt this year with all the changes, so i could may well treat myself this season coming lol :D

They say on ASFC site that they are still gonna be involved with both interlink express & ossy mills.

Also note how I was careful enough to quote him as I thought he might edit it (which he has duly done) so that I didnt end up looking daft ??? ;)

Could be a good laugh if we all wore red and white fes hats, and It would put our stadium back on the map.
