Trialists

Does anybody know who we have training with us/on trial at the moment ??? :)

Pre season - just love the rumour mill, gives everyone something to look foward too :D

Re: Trialists

As coincidences go... Am just in the middle of organising a photo shoot at training camp... gonna go up to branoldswick and do a whole load of pics for kipax.com as thats allowed :) Probably on monday by the way things are going..

Re: Trialists

we've had rob elliot training with us since the players got back for pre-season training. and were meant to be playing some trialists on saturday vs burnley.

Re: Trialists

Ashley Foyle is on trial. 17 year old Chesterfield defender. Released as Chesterfield already have 5 decent centre-backs.

DanTheMonkey 06-07-2006 08:42

Re: Trialists

Good stuff KIPAX, but does anyone have any sort of clue who is training .... i mean some people on here know groundsmen and people who work with the players daily, surely there must be some names floating about.
Thanks luker !!!

erk. Anyone expecting to see a strong team throughout the pre seasons are going to be dissapointed IMHO.. I have a feeling well over half the team will be unrecognisable for all the games.... Maybe the blackburn game he will play first teamers... But the other games are usually at least half if not 90% trialists and certainly unrecognisable.

The scotland friendlies being the last two .. I would hope to see mostly first teamers..

East fife away on a Monday night.... first barmy decision of the season :(

My mates, mums, aunties, uncles, fish-mongers, brothers, butchers, accountounts, brother told me that Coley is going to coax Zinedine Zidane out of retirement;)

Re: Trialists

i've been told that evil may be on his way back to the fraser eagle stadium. i dont know if there is any truth in that but i would like ot see him back in a red shirt. was good player and scored a few goals.

KIPAX 06-07-2006 08:50

Re: Trialists

Gary Roberts staying and Evil coming back... Both would do for me.. alas I fear only the former will actually happen.

DanTheMonkey 06-07-2006 08:51

Re: Trialists

Alvin, no need for that stupid post really, stick on topic please ...

Alvin the chipmunk 06-07-2006 08:52

Sorry to disappoint but it's not gonna happen (thank the lord), when his deal with Bradford fell through, Lee went back to Wrexham and signed a new 2 year deal with them

DanTheMonkey 06-07-2006 11:03

Re: Trialists

Evil did a good job here, and no one can deny that !!!
He always looked an evident threat and half of the conference defenders didnt have an answer for him..... shame he left really .... :(

shakermaker 06-07-2006 11:46

Re: Trialists

As good a conference striker as he was; he's never really impressed at higher level - he's been riddled with injuries & suspensions since joining Wrexham.
IMO we'd be making a step backwards if we were to resign him.

Re: Trialists

Yeovil officially given up on Gary Roberts - so he is staying for the time being

DanTheMonkey 07-07-2006 09:08

Re: Trialists

I wouldnt have been that bothard if Roberts had gone, a player who doesnt want to be at the cub shoudnt be stopped leaving, and if he has lost all will to play for this club, then let Doherty take his place

Simple, eh ?

Your posting on a public MB that Gary Roberts doesnt want to play for the club, that he has lost his will to play for the club... Doesnt matter if you ad "if" its still muck spreading... where are you getting this info from ? You.. not other people.. your the one spreading this gossip :(

Consider Eric whalley wheeling and dealing and saying whatever he needs to ...to make things happen..

Has anyone heard from gary roberts or seen him to ask what he thinks... or is it knives out and attack one of our best players at the drop of a hat..

Gary Roberts is one of our best players and again... I agree one man doesnt make a team.... But if you think he can easilly be replaced then your very deluded...

DanTheMonkey 07-07-2006 09:22

Re: Trialists

It has been said time and time again, even Whalley himsef has said that "If he wants to move on and its purely financial it doesn't say much, does it, for the lad himself?"
So dont have a go at me pal, you dont even know me, im saying what has already been said on here before

KIPAX 07-07-2006 09:25

Re: Trialists

Exactly.. been said on here.. its a messageboard and your slagging off one of our best players based on what you read on here... every player moves for financial reasons.. where do you get not going to give 100% from and doesnt want to play for us?... from here.. your spreading this stuff about him and sticking a big shiney knife in his back based on what you read on a messageboard.....

DanTheMonkey 07-07-2006 09:29

Re: Trialists

And your defending him when you havent even spoken to him ..... so how do you know ?
If you read my other posts about what the chairman has said, then you will see what i mean, but im not going to repeat it again.
Your right, i am going off what people have said, but only of what Whalley has said

KIPAX 07-07-2006 09:34

Re: Trialists

So your saying you heard eric whalley.. or your going off what other people have said he said ....... see what I mean ? I also said you should consider eric saying whatever he has to in order to get the result he wants..

But I still would like to know why your in different threads on here talking about him not wanting to play for the club and not giving 100% etc...

Why not support a stanley player instead of attacking him ?

Oh and where am I defending him? I ahvent spoken to him and I ahve no idea whats happening... but neither have you... but your attacking him I aint.. and I am not defending him either...

DanTheMonkey 07-07-2006 09:40

Re: Trialists

Why not support a staney player ???
I didnt miss a home game ALL season, wether it was Co-Op cup or Conference, it didnt bother me, i was there supporting the boys :(
So for you, someone that doesnt know me in the sightest, to come on here and post that, really bloody confuses me

KIPAX 07-07-2006 09:41

Re: Trialists

Wow you took that the wrong way... whoooosh :)

DanTheMonkey 07-07-2006 10:05

Re: Trialists

On your part maybe, i understood it fully

KIPAX 07-07-2006 10:08

Re: Trialists

I dont think you did... I didnt type to imply you wernt supporting ASFC or wasnt a good supporter.. I was typing to say that you are posting in multiple threads remarks about gary roberts that are IMHO unfounded.. Thus i was saying support him not attack him.. thats all i was saying... it wasnt meant as a personal insult :)

somehow you took that to mean i was saying you wernt a good supporter.. i never said or intended to say that... never crossed my mind... but you ahve to admit you are having a go at him.... i am suggesting support him..

DanTheMonkey 07-07-2006 10:12

Re: Trialists

I dont understand all this IMHO or IMO stuff, so thats just jargon to me .....
I am not saying i will not support Gary, i will, but if his heart is not in it anymore, why make him stay ?

KIPAX 07-07-2006 10:14

Re: Trialists

IMHO is internet jargon and as your using the intenet......IMHO means In My Humble Opinion.. :)

Alvin the chipmunk 07-07-2006 10:18

Re: Trialists

Word of advice Dan. Dont get in the ring with Kipax. You'll never make it out alive......

DanTheMonkey 07-07-2006 10:20

Re: Trialists

So ? just because im using the internet doesnt mean i have to know all of this stuff .....Anyway, lets get back on topic
It looks like Gary's staying till at least January (i said at least, so no need to dive on head) so it looks like he will be continuing in the famous red shirt of Accrington

shakermaker 07-07-2006 10:21

Re: Trialists

You're right Kipax; despite all speculation & hearsay; Gary Roberts is still an Accrington Stanley player and as far as we know will be playing for us next season.
We should let his performances show whether his 'heart is still in it'; not the papers/MB's.

KIPAX 07-07-2006 10:24

Re: Trialists

danthemonkey .. dont take anything i say so personally... i honestly never wrote anything to suggest you wernt a good stanley supporter or anything like that.. i wouldnt.. and if you took it that way i apologise... i was trying to make the point that he should be supported until HE shows different.. not because of summat on a messageboard... thats all :)

alvin... shut the f up :)

DanTheMonkey 07-07-2006 10:24

Re: Trialists

As far as we know is correct, and im hoping he will stay and carry on his football here at Accrington, but, as i have always said, if a player doesnt want to stay, then let them go
1 player doesnt make a club

sparkie 07-07-2006 14:58

Re: Trialists

I'm sorry but wasn't this a thread about possible trialists!!!

luker 07-07-2006 15:02

Re: Trialists

Said in the Observer that Alex Higgins ex-midfielder for Sheffield Wednesday is on trial and a striker from Scotland...

shakermaker 07-07-2006 17:07

Re: Trialists

Alex Higgins?

http://departments.weber.edu/wildcat...lexhiggins.gif

methinks Coley's been drinking too much...

DanTheMonkey 10-07-2006 10:21

Re: Trialists

Well "Higgins" didnt turn up, but the striker did, not the most powerfull shot on earth though.
