Transfer Speculation

Does anybody have the foggiest on who Coley was reffering to when he said paying cash for a Premiership player ?

And does anyone really think that Perkins is of good enough quality to pull on the red of Accrington, and if he is signing a left winger, whats going on with Roberts ?

Answer's on a postcard to ...

I think Perkins is quality but doesn't play left wing..Centre midfield or left back...

Whoops, sorry

Well, it doesnt really matter that much, the question is is it worth signing someone we dont really need after the way Harris play on Monday and the way Richardson plays every week ?

Squad rotation? If someone gets injured or suspeneded it will good to have someone like Perkins to come and and even start games becasue i doubt he'd come here to sit on the bench.

As Zayno said, Perkins would brilliantly fit into the role of a utility player in the squad. Leam Richardson seemed to calm his game down against Forest but you never know when he's going to get a kicking or receive a red.
Same goes for in midfield, I doubt Harris could display the same versatility in a game as Perkins could, even with his tenacious style of play getting all over the park.

I still think Harris is a top quality find, and should definatley start against Rochdale this saturday ... if we havent signed Perkins before that

The only Morecambe player that consistently impressed me was Perkins, if we could get him, would be a real coup for the Club

How that happen?

Perkins, would be a good acquisition to the squad IMO, BTW.

blocking a shot with his face apparently!

the only thing that I think Perkins is lacking is height, and we ain't best blessed in that department this year, considering the bruisers that seem to be commonplace in this league

Good point, but I think one of Stanley's strengths is having proper footballers, i.e. people possessing a football brain, rather than the robotic physical specimens that are programmed to kick a ball.

Re: Transfer Speculation

both would be nice, I agree we have some great footballers at the moment and they play as a team usually. Sometimes though we will have to accept that we will kicked all over the pitch and get nowt. There lies the difference between going up from here or standing still or worse. I'd rather lose frequently watching good football than lose frequently watching bad football though
