101 things to do with no game this weekend.

As I get up at 4 am (NZ daylight saving) to follow the mighty reds each Sunday, I will probably wake unwillingly and be unable to return to much needed beauty sleep.I hope this is not so.So what possible benefit is there for ''Stanleyites" come Saturday? How do you cope? God forbid 'She that must be obeyed' dosen't present you with a list of jobs,or even worse, drags you round the local shopping centre. For me there is only one possible benefit from the Bristol no-show....

1... My cigarette consumption will fall dramaticlly.

can we find 100 more?

4. Go to pub, drink beer, watch other scores flashing up throughout the afternoon while attempting to calculate how it's going to affect us, watch table come up at five 'o' clock; if we've only dropped to 19th or 20th, carry on drinking in a reasonable mood, if we've dropped any further, carry on drinking and try to forget! Either way, I'll be having lots of beer!

Why do you assume that it's only the male Stanley fans who will find it hard to cope with no game on Saturday Kiwi? Quite a few of us females will be lost too - just cause we're women it doesn't mean we actually enjoy going shopping, personally I hate it and would much rather be at a Stanley game any day of the week :) Luckily I have a party to organise for my youngest on Saturday night so I can spend my time blowing up balloons etc.

As there are no games in the league or premiership this weekend I will be in the pub hopefully watching one of the FA cup games with some friends, without constantly looking at the videprinter in worry!!!

Hope Torquay beat Grimsby, Darlo beat the Wrecks, surely we can rely on Walsall, Swindon and the Dons to do the job, we stay exactly where we are and their games in hand are gone.

I will be heading down the M1 to face humiliation at the hands of county fans after Stanley`s disgraceful double defeat. To them its just 6 points to me its 12 months of aggrevation. useless useless useless.

Quite right AccyMad,do accept my sincere apologies that I extend to you and other members of the fairer sex.And may I commend you for your excellent vision that had you produce a daughter who's birthday would fall on an 'off' weekend for Stanley.Absolutley brilliant.

I wonder...has anyone suggested to their partner that they go shopping( a pre-emptive strike that would secure untold 'Brownie points'.) ? :)

Apology graciously accepted Kiwi, and thank you for the praise - what can I say ..... it's a gift :p ! (Just one problem with your post, it's my youngest son who has a birthday - I have 2 boys and both have been raised the Stanley way):)
