Home Town Team ?

After reading Macca's statement about his home town team, how many of you more passionate supporters are actually from Accrington ?

Me too, born and bred in Accrington, went to Peel Park before the club demise 45 years ago (also went to school there sometimes). Went to St Christophers till 69 then joined the Army. Wandered around the world, got married had kids, got divorced etc etc but in the end I came back. Although I too live in enemy territory (Wigan) I still come and watch Accy (Season Ticket holder/OSC member etc etc)Even manage to drag Wigan Athletic fans up there because they say it reminds them of the days of Springfield Park. So whatever happens rain or shine promotion or relegation I will support my hometown team forever.

Lived in Accy for fifteen years, and now call the assistant referee, "Liner" without even thinking about it. Originally from another part of Lancashire, well it was when I was a lad - Liverpool.

Must admit I get a buzz from all the scousers that've played under Coley, with one notable and recent exception. :p

I was born in Ormskirk but until I was 25 lived on the former Stanley family estates at Lathom about 3 miles to the east. So I have always been a Stanleyite in more ways than one.
