the fatty has gone!

MIDFIELDER Tony Grant could need an operation on his Achilles while defender Alan Rogers, who was on non contract terms at Stanley, is believed to have left the club.

Perhaps he didn't like us refering to his abhorant underwear situation!!!

I thought Grant still had something to offer but Rodgers was just a slow useless fat dollop (I wanted to swear but don't want a ban).

Yeah, but what about his quality dropkicks?! .... oh that was supposed to be a tackle, right? :p

That's a bit harsh. Rogers was class at delivering from dead ball situations also his long throw will be sadly missed. He wasn't one for pulling out of 50/50 challenges either. Good luck to the bloke i say.

I though it was a bit harsh as well, especially when he was lumping his way up the field. Notwithstanding the apparent relief of the Stanley Faithful these gentlemen did play in the Red & White and the bore Accrington Crest and should be offered our respects and thoughts of good will for their individual futures. All the best Gentlemen, one hopes your replacements aren’t too late on the field.

 We're only talking about Rodgers, Doug.

Personally I thought I was being very restrained about this "gentleman". 6 appearances, booked twice, sent off once and substituted in the most humiliating fashion at Rochdale. Not exactly a charmer, either.

Woo hoo - good news indeed! We don't need that sort of player at Stanley

Good luck Alan with wherever you end up next.

Such a shame that somebody with as good a reputation as Alan Rogers could not hack at this level, overweight and over aggresive in the tackle when not necessary.

Just imagine how good a left flank we would have if both Rogers and Doherty had fulfilled their promise.
