Any quotes yet from Eric Whalley on the number of Accrington people who came today?

It’s all very quiet at the moment there was a nice bit on the evening news with half a K.S.H. at the edge of the frame. Most of it was shot in the main stand and appeared to be rather negative in some aspects, but the FES look good full’ish.

But yes 11 good performances today, in probably the most tense game seen at FES, Procky and Jay battled for everything.

Just need to keep it going, anyone know what's up with Rommy?

Spoke to Rommy after the match in the bar. Hie will be out for 2 to 3 weeks with a knee injury. Must say, Leighton Mcgivern looks as though he might make a comeback soon, but where was Mauro Almeida?? anyone got the answer to that one?

well i will prob get a rollicking off you guys for this , but haveing been ,seen and enjoyed today my one concern (having not seeing them play for a long time ) is IMHO although they played really well and kept full control of the game , when it came to being around the goals they withered and spent too much time passing instead of taking chances , now that is just my opinion and there are many out there that understand the guys and thier ways much better, but thats what i saw and felt.correct me if im wrong because im no expert, although still pleased of the way they controlled the game today.

Thanks for that on Rommy, Mauro was running about with Tretton, Ventre and McGivern early on.

Cherokee, you're not wrong. Although they seemed less reluctant to shoot than in previous games, Procky and Jay both went close, Cav hit post; front four had numerous attempts, all a bit wayward. Errm, maybe you are wrong ;) . It was a lot better than lately, anyway, and hopefully will get better still.

At last, we played football! Thank goodness the "in-the-air-to-Mullin" style of play was used far less often, and the whole team benefitted from that. It was a great display and well worth the journey from Bristol. Maybe I should try to come north more often - I have yet to see them lose at the FES this season!

You WILL be there this coming Saturday then I hope.

Cherokee, you hit the nail on the head with how the team plays, but do come again, the more support we can keep out of the 4004 the better.

There's reason for only showing half of me, they didn't want to show the bruises and the blood running down my cheek from when I got a beating outside the clubhouse by
POSH HARROD RED :D

I may be wrong here, but I can't help thinking that a lot of the reluctance to shoot around the box is because, at the moment, we don't have a single natural left-footer in the team. Consequently precious time is wasted trying either to get the ball to the right foot or to give it to someone else who might have a chance of a right-footed shot. Then, before you know where you are, the chance has gone. I'm sure a left-footer would have buried two or three yesterday. (By the way, this doesn't mean that I'm advocating a return for Sean Doherty!)
