make your mind up

i cant believe players that have been offered new deals havent made their mind up cause i cant see any other interested clubs wanting to buy players who have struggled at this level just shows what we thought we had a loyal team of players .the club come up to the league the club show loyalty to players and they get this ..if they dont make their mind up tomorrow i would just get rid of them tomorrow:(

You don't half talk bananas! We have got a loyal bunch of players but they're all entitled to try & do their best for themselves & their families so why shouldn't they take a little time to think about what they're signing. Loyalty works both ways!

Re: make your mind up

so if they are going to take their time about it whom exactly are trying to sign these players is it other clubs making stanley stall so they can sign stanley targets eric and coley have already stated they wont be giving anybody else improved offers so why wait ?:Banane12: :Banane12: :Banane12:

I'm out of breath just reading this - please put some punctuation in, even if only random commas !

I'm with accymad on this one, if you were working for a company and they wanted to renegotiate your deal for the following year, surely you have to look out for your own best interests first.... no matter how much you love the company, the people and the job there??

Its like saying you wouldn't allow yourself to be headhunted by another company for more money and better conditions because you are too loyal to where you work now!!

Loyalty can only stretch so far! especially when we know that our club's wages are alot lower than other league 2 clubs

Re: make your mind up

At the end of the day it will come down to "putting bread on the table" and the player/s will be looking at options and thinking is that a good move? Can we afford to stay/move? What will happens if I get leg broke?

Give these people the time to make up their minds.....:banhat:

There's something about this thread where I get the impression cmonstanley has no idea about how proffessional football works, just can't put my finger on it at the moment.

oh yes i do its cut throat and if you dont get on the boat you might miss it .look at other clubs in the lower leagues , theyve already released about average 6-7 players and started signing we dont want possible signing targets thinking they were just second best mm last resort signings ...you havent got a clue .all clubs use dirty tricks and resorts to get what they want ,well clubs who want to be winners not like the dingles over the motorway:Banane51: :Banane51: :Banane51: :Banane51: :Banane51: :Banane51:

...If only the club was more 'liquid'. There's thousands and thousands of young talent running round the fields over here. Many are just as good(if not better) as any kid anywhere else in the world- until they hit around 16.They then miss out on the superior coaching that the top footballing nations can provide and their skills don't appreciate . Shame.

Yes they discover the opposite sex,and without the fearce passion for your local club like you Brits have, interest 'wanes'.But many carry on,and a very few break into UK leagues at various levels. But with better coaching(or more better coaches) there would be heaps more in the UK and Europe.
