Thought Cav's booking had "normal service has been resumed " written all over it, especially as it was the only time he was near him the whole of the second half. :o

I have to say that I didnt see the incident, so cant comment Im afraid!.........(note to self, must pay more attention :))

Yeah agree Brinnie we were late in and they had locked up but bent over backward to help us to get in and escort us to the away end so top marks for them..........

to be fair, you've got to take into account the fact that they've been out of the pro leagues for a long time, and it'll take a long time to build up their support base, which will give them the cash to improve.
i say good luck to em, and i hope they go from strenghth to strenghth, sooner them than some i could mention

what can i say,
i miss the huddersfield game and the rotherham game and the team cant function.
Its as if their 12th man in the stands made all the difference (tounge in cheek!)

I am determined to get to Hereford so normal service of wins should presume.

1-0 at home to one of the teams expected to be in the play offs is dissapointing but not the end of the world.

Isn't that what we need a bit of aggression? It's a man's game isn't it, let the opposition know you are there, rough them up a bit, that's what other teams tend to do to us. At least Evil was there when the goalie spilled the ball, Mully would have been standing about wondering what to do next. What other team has a striker who spends all the match with his back to the goal, never turns the opposition and cannot shoot? Mully has been a good servant but it's about time we had a change. Cav, Rocky and Mully first three names on the team sheet, in my opinion none of them are up to Football League standard. Coley said defensive changes would have to be made, well playing without a left back was certainly a change. I don't think Coley has any idea about defending. We have had a crap defence for years and nothing gets changed, the two weak links are still there and probably will be for ever. I think we are in for a long hard winter unless changes are made soon.

Yes Jeff we need more aggression upfront but he is not the right player to give us that. He was brought on for 5 minutes on Saturday and needlessly managed to get himself booked. Agression and going for a player in the context of football are seperate. He made no attempt to win the ball-he just had a little swipe at the keeper when he thought the ref wasn't looking. ONCE AGAIN he overstepped the mark and deserved to be cautioned. Since he came back I don't think he's done anything positive for the team. He was sent off for stamping on a player against Peterborough (clearly he hasn't learnt from that), close on a few occasions to being sent off again and more importantly he is yet to find the back of the net this season. You could say the lack of goals is due to him not featuring much but on the evidence that I have seen, I believe he doesn't deserve any more chances and we have other strikers so why not use them?

Now whatever you say about Mullin (most of which I agree with), you can't escape the fact that he is currently our top goalscorer this season-he is league 2 standard-he will continue to get in positons to score for us this season given the oppertunity by Coleman. Mulllin might not be as aggressive but he's scored more times this season than Evil and is a lot less likely to be sent off.
You say he would have stood around in that inccident- I agree with you! He is proffesional enough to know when a ball can be won or not. ie. not assualting the keeper who already has the ball in his 2 hands.

I do agree however that we have based to much of our play around Mullin in recent years and league defenders know our game and are dealing with him most of the time as we saw again on saturday. It is frustrating to watch but for me Evil is only going to create more problems than solve this one. We have other strikers so lets give them a start.

Some fairly uncomplimentary things were said about the Stanley performance and ground on Radio Sheffield's footy phone in tonight.

Big Seth Bennett who no one will have missed from his "linesman's" vantage point in the Press Box only just conceded that Stanley were "better than a pub team" and one Rotherham female fan said she would never complain about their ground again.
