only recently there was a poll on here about should coley stay or be sacked,the result then was about 6 for sacking and 54 for keeping him on,i just wonder now how many of the people who voted for him to stay have now changed their minds,i for one have changed my mind and am now of the opinion he should go, its just a thread to see they balance of play with the supporters to see if feelings have changed that much,if he stays on perhaps it could be to little to late or maybe a new broom might sweep some of the crap players under the carpet.

Like I said on another thread, if we could guarantee an experienced league manager being Coleman's replacement, then fair enough. However, I really can't see that happening and even if it did, would the replacement be able to do any better with the budget allowed?

Recent performances at the FES have frustrated me to the point of despair and we have no less an authority than Alan Knill one of the most respected coaches outside the top tier saying on the evidence of the Rotherham debacle that the Stanley players aren't coping with the 3-5-2 system at home.

Given Stanley's league position Coley must be getting things right away from home.

He just needs to get back to the old proven formulas for winning at home otherwise Eric will come under increased pressure to replace him and Jimmy which would be very sad and probably a mistake.

I suppose one question we should be asking is, could another manager get more out of the players we currently have?

I'm often puzzled by the lack of variety in our play and a reluctance to alter tactics when it's crying out for change. When was the last time we saw variety in our set-piece play, especially corners?

Like its been said many a time JC has taken us as far as he can go & seemingly cant do more, fresh blood fresh ideas are going to be needed to improve the situation because just hanging at mid to below in the table isnt going to resolve our problems at home. Our home performance needs improving drastically to keep the support - nevermind the extra gate income, we dont do something we will end up losing our good players & worse still attract no good players too!! Nevermind fund our current wage bill & the stadia funds, i honestly cant see it happening & we'll be blue square before u can say blue, its all well & good saying well we can do it on away performance but money is at HOME & thats the neccessary & important thing we need.

The answer might be closer to home than you think :)

Previous manager 18 points from 19 games, change of manager 11 points from 5 games. Early days yet but same squad of players for all games, and it's not like the games have been easier, 6 of those points came fron the then top 2 away from home.

Main difference is attitude from the managers, one was dull and defensive, the other thinks he can take on the world ( and he has no league experience :) )

On the other hand I should also mention that the majority of points have come away from home.

You only have to look at the predictions for MK dons to know the down-heartiness & apathy we have with our own team & thats away!! Think that says it all, for the 1st time im not enthused about listening to the match but i will as im a stanley fan thro & thro. Managers come & go but nobody should be bigger than the club itself [words from the most top successful primadonnaship team] those words are true.

to sack him would be madness.

a few stern words from eric, maybe even a 'dont know what your doing' chant from the clayton end may humble him into admiting that the players performances and team selection stops with him.

Once again, he plays both roberts and williams from the start.
His words mean nothing.

I totally agree.

Sheffield Wednesday (a club not known for their indulgence) could have sacked Brian Laws for their worst start in 140 years and a dismal home record.

Next thing they're mid table, Burnley wanted him and he was Championship Manager of the Month.

Forgive me if I am wrong but did't coleman used to be a deputy head? £40k+
minimum I cant see him doing this job for less!! We don't see any pride any passion or any commonsense lately coming from anyone involved on the playing staff or management, if we don't want to see gates dwindle any further, It also as a severe knock on effect to sponsorship merchandising etc.. Someone needs a rocket up His backside as their are alot of willing ex footballers alraedy well off enough to have a go at the Stanley hotseat.:confused:

i am not privvy to colemans previous earnings, n doubt wether you are? i based my comment on what Eric Whalley said about funds (on national tv) a few months ago.:rolleyes:
