County are expecting to be backed by a 2,000-strong army when they travel down the M66 to Accrington on Saturday.
Interesting line, how many does the away hold ?

Maybe Gannon's quotes are his attempt at "phsycological warfare". I didn't get to Edgeley Park for the away game due to other commitments, so I couldn't comment on how we played or how Stockport performed that day for that fact.:o

I did however go to the Bury v Stockport derby the other Tuesday night at Gigg Lane. True enough Stockport were backed by a large and vocal following of in the region of 1500+. On the evidence of what I saw from that game,Stockport looked a bit jittery at the back at times when put under a bit of concerted pressure but also looked very good on the counter attack. And they ultimately punished what can only be described as a sloppy Bury defence to come away with the three points.

So all in all, it will probably make for an interesting and pulsating "derby" on Saturday.

As far as I can remember from when I was stewarding the coppice and whinney hill terraces hold a combined capacity of around 1400. however I think we've had an in crease capacity due to meeting H&S requirements, but I wouldn't have thought many more could go in there comfortably!!

Jim Gannon, just like all Football Managers will have a sneaky side to his personality and will use every underhand method he can to undermine the confidence of coming opponents..a good example of such a Manager being that swine from Lincoln City who devised a system which allowed his side to score three times against 'the Reds' ...without going anywhere near our Goal..(as JC cryptcally observed shortly afterwards!)..

On this occasion however Gannon is, reading between the lines of his article, merely making a poor attempt to employ the 'Patronising Ploy' towards a side who are, marginally,in slightly poorer form than his own!.
The hope is, that JC & JB can see through his feeble ramblings and use their
motivational skills to turn them on their head ( The words..not Saturday's opponents!)...and whip 'the Reds' towards a performance that will make Gannon wish that he'd never written this bit of garbage in the first place!

As to their visiting Hordes...lets hope that our three-quarters of the FES noy only match them for numbers ..but in NOISE as well!!

SUPPORT JC....JB....and ON STANLEY!....ON !!!!!!!

Is there a gate at the corner of the cow shed and the clayton end ? I don't recall one so presumably they can only have half of the cow shed ?

No there is no gate, so they can only have the half of the stand up to the half way line. The under the ground layout the half of the cowshed attached to the clayton end is classed as part of the clayton end, and the half adjacent to the away end is classed as the whinney hill terrace.

I agree with him. Like I said above I commentated on your game against us at EP and I thought you played very well. Todd had a couple of chances at 1-0 to us and if he would have got it level it could have been a different story.
