The football is a lot better though Doug, at least when we get beat now it's not because of the boring ****e and no effort we had to put up with. Nobody minds as much when the effort is there :)

..You know, I just don't understand 'crowds'...Last night was Hawkes Bay Utds biggest game of the year and we got our lowest-600. Good enough weather too... makes no sense...

The summariser on bbc lancs was not to forgiving - said we where poor all over and stockport had it easy.
Any of the faithful who attended home yet?
Did Mangan or Mcgivern offer much?

Well I'm at a gig on tuesday so at least I can say I'm one of the lucky season ticket holders who doesn't have to see Stanley play again for 2 weeks.

Same old story today. Stockport 'keeper never had a save to make and we looked very short of ideas. Defending was awful again (Aswad was turned easily for the second goal) and when we went 1-0 down it was obvious what was going to happen (Procter and Arthur were not where they were supposed to be).

I'm not a doom and gloom merchant and I prefer to see myself as a realist. I know I said this a month ago, but unless there are 2 teams worse than us this season, we will be relegated. It's obvious to see that and I don't know what the answer is. I know some will say sacking the manager is the answer, but in reality it isn't. We're heavily handicapped in terms of who we can sign (who would want to come to a club with poor facilities and low wages?) and what we can do to help ourselves.
It's very depressing, but I'm starting to see the reality of the situation.

Don't agree with Stanley convert. Stockport were a good side who waited for our huff and puff to blow itself out and then picked us off like taking candy from a baby. If Mully had converted his gilt-edged chance and Whalley show a bit of composure with his opportunity before half time it may have been a different story, but somehow I doubt it. Our only hope of survival now is for the teams below us to continue to drop points like they have today.
Their big centre forward was a class act who showed us what we are missing up front - pace and power.
We won the singing match but were second best in every other department.
