You have as much chance of going down as I have of turning red & white :)

Why can't we keep relying on the results of others, as long as they keep losing? Games are fast running out and it would take a herculean effort from those below us, for us to go down now.

(Disclaimer - if we are relegated this season, I did not type this message. It was my pet hamster, Horrace)

If it was just the two underneath us then I might agree, but with less than 10 games left and four wins to make up on us BEFORE any points we may or may not gather, it would be a big ask for all the teams under us to improve on our results. The only slight problem may be the games n hand some of the teams have on us, but as they are near the bottom you would expect them not to win those games.

I would much rather have points on the board at this stage than games in hand

I'd also like to point out that if by some amazing combination of results you do go down I was looking after Horrace and taught him how to type :)

Bob lord's history - its 2008, Eric's in charge & we're still in league 2, the one thing missed & apparent is that players have a huge responsibilty over our success or failure - then & now than some old FL board member whom was invited to poke his nose in

Re: squeaky bum time

I dont think we'll go down think fate is sealed more at the bottom 2, so my bum ain't squeaking that much:p Tho what pees me off is that we are very much capable of winning & some of the matches like yesterday that could of been in the bag was let go very easily to bad mistakes, lack of team play & as soon as we're down we lose the fighting spirit - thats the frustrating bit:(

I wholeheartedly agree with you that we can and should do better, the club and our league position at the end of this season is in the hand of the manager and the players no one else, we’ve all seen what the club can do in the face of adversity, no more so than last season, what is worrying me is our frailer to learn week in week out, we’re proven time and time again we can mix it and match the best of them but then we let ourselves down with lack lustre performances not worthy of Sunday League.

I still believe that this is a leadership issue and that to progress the club and all those within it need to open up and be cuttingly honest, if that dictates people leaving then so be it. Has for history, a football club is no different from a Squadron, Regiment or Unit, the people change constantly some fall in Battle, some aren’t fit to serve, some go on to lead. What is important is the history, the consistency of performance and the will to learn the lesson taught on the field, which we are failing to do.
