New Signing??

I hear that James Smith will sign for us.He was with Stockport last year and played in their play off victories.
He is a very strong and mobile fullback. He will be a decent signing I think.

Re: New Signing??

Would be a very good addition to the Squad:)

The need for a striker is very much top of my list, the danger being the longer we don't sign anyone the more worrying it becomes in the quest for goals next season:eek:

One player that I have heard very good reports about is Ashley Stott at Bangor City

Jimmy Bell reveals new signing as Jimmy Ryan in today's LT. A midfielder, he's ex Liverpool (where else ?) and Shrewsbury

Re: New Signing??

He's the player I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. He's been on trial for a while, but it didn't look promising as we were 'overloaded' in that area.

Shrewsbury supporting mate of mine really rates Ryan, but I'm not sure what that's worth.

Isn't this the sort of things what gets all your backs up about communicating with the fans. Why have they told the Telegraph and not put it on the fishy site ? Or is it that the telegraph can basically print what they want, be it rumour or fact ?

I gave up on the 'official' site ages ago. It's a joke.

It was in Bell's weekly column that he does for the paper. Presumably he wanted to announce it to give his column some cred.

Lets think about this, Twiss 4 Stanley, er no thanks.

I saw it on the Sky Sports ticker then it disappeared, maybe his wage demands where too high?;)

Re: New Signing??

he wanted his hair coiffeur paying as well as his own wages. Allegedly he also wanted his site fee's paying for his caravan but Whinney Hill was full

To be fair to them that's what most clubs do, they wait until it's official, more than can be said for the newspapers. This isn't the first time in recent weeks where the JB column has been the subject of 'contentious' information. Perhaps he needs to look at whether this column is doing him any favours ?

If you remember I gave praise where it was due (like I am gracious in defeat aswell as joyous in victory) but i'm not talking about what's past that's gone
It's looking forward to the future i'm bothered about and something coley and you're board seem to want to forget.............heads out of the sand time before it's too late!

Re: New Signing??

I think Sammy Mac is a good gaffer and you lot reckon your new signings look pretty decent. But if I was a Shrimper I'd be a little worried at the exits since the end of the season rather than the siginings.

And lets not forget that you had a reasonably poor 2nd half of the season last time out.

I reckon we'll both be alright this season though.

Re: New Signing??

Truth is i'm not worried about who's gone now after seeing those young guns the other night
some players think they have a divine right to be in the side no matter what, I think those days are coming to an abrupt end under Sammy
no more freeloaders this season and I expect us to do well throughout now
