I'm there to be shot down but I can't see Coley taking it on.

He will see that he has grown this club form an infancy to late teens. Maybe he might feel that he can't take us much, if any, further - but how far could he take Chester? and would the money or facilities be any better?

I'd be surprised .......

I don't really see what the Chester job would offer Coleman, especially as his job is pretty secure at Accrington. Vaughan goes through managers at quite a rate, although he is a friend of Coley's.

I first read about this rumour last month, way before Davies was sacked at Chester. However, the rumours are running wild at the moment and remember, Coleman has been linked with the Chester job in the past.

I could see him thinking Chester have more potential, but couldn't see him ditching his current set of players to work with theirs in the same league.

He'd be after upwards not sideways

12 managers in seven years (Whally went through 12 managers in 12 weeks (ish) pre-Coley)

rumours abound about possible administration that would probably put them in the Conference

I don't see much more potential at Chester than here ... both clubs have limited possibilities. They struggle for fans just like we do, and their ground, although reasonably new, is small and horrid and 'possibly' being replaced (£16m for a crappy club with no fans - it'll never hapen)

Just assuming the rumours are true who would we get to replace him on our limited resources,seems funny, these rumours have to start somewhere ?.Then stan ternant gets sacked ????????????

Rumours are best ignored i reckon, if stuff happens thens the time to wonder.:) how many football rumours are in the press on a weekly basis? wish i had a tenner fer last 5 years worth.:D

It’s going to come down to the strength of the relationship between him and the club and the pending size of the wallet of the club making him an offer. Is Coley not one of the longest serving managers across the leagues? Surely he must get sick of the same results each season, poor gates and facilities, small budget….

His Loyalty can’t be criticised even if he did decide to **** and join the Walsh, he’s done his Job many times over with Stanley, and if it’s true, then he goes, simple as that. Eric’s resources must be limited; the Town doesn’t give a dingle or the council….I’m with K-P…..worried.
