My copy is 106 miles away from me at the moment as I am back in the North West.

May be someone else can it up.

Hudson would appear most likely candidate as he was still scoring a lot of goals after Stewart left and probably the last really prolific striker. Mike Ferguson may have but he would have done well to do so with the team at a low ebb.

Well if no-one has scored a FL hat trick since we were promoted, which I dont think they have, according to the Stanley complete record book, Oldgobbin is spot on. We beat Peterborough at home 3-2 on April 11th 1961, George Hudson bagging all 3. 62 season, we probably scored 3 all season :D Only joking but it wasnt much more than that :) Obviously Peterborough were impressed with him because they signed him the following season from us.

Jimbo, George Hudson scored no fewer than 3 hat-tricks that season, against Gillingham, Oldham and Posh...... and Jackie Swindells got one against Millwall!... but the Posh one was the last. As you say, though, the next season was quite another story!

So by that reckoning the following clubs had their hat trick records expunged in the following years when the clubs came under new Limited Companies?

Bristol City - 1982
Middlesborough - 1986
Leeds United - 2007.

Football clubs are collections of traditions and support - the limited company is just the framework that carries them.

Accrington Stanley's limited company was only incorporated in 1976 did the previous five years count for nothing?
