Re: Stanley to play in Spain
I said it last time and I'll it again this time - a trip like this would also work wonders for the club/fans relationship. What a shame we didn't have a few weeks notice on this in order to try to book a trip.
I'd love to see a coach load of fans make the trip to watch this game. :( |

It will only be a kick about match on a training ground. Would anybody really be that interested or would there be other reasons for going where beer is cheap and plentiful :D |
Re: Stanley to play in Spain
Purely to watch the football of course.
The warmer weather, cheap beer and cheap cigs, have nothing to do with wanting to go, at all. :D |

Re: Stanley to play in Spain
it doesn't really matter what the game is or signifies (or doesn't would be more appropriate) but its a chance to watch the Reds play somewhere new, somewhere your mates didn't go, somewhere that in five, ten, fifteen years time you can say 'can you remember that time in Spain when Milesy made that full blooded challenge?'
7 people went to Barbados 13 years ago and all of them are still regulars at the FES, it instills a bit more hardcore into you. That particular group of people stood with others on the terrace at the time and very few of those people go anymore. And yes, the beer and baccy run would be nice as well ...... ~(would even pay for the jolly) |

We’ve told Accrington to bring their warmers because it does get nippy at night and the game is at 8pm,” said Gully, who hopes some Reds fans will also make the trip we might have done wi'a bit o'notice! |

Re: Stanley to play in Spain
Not a bad website of Torrevieja's been on there forum and a lot of the ex pats are looking forward to it,grimps and me looked for a cheap flight but couldn't get one just for a couple of days. And grimps said he'd sleep on the beach,on reflection it's probably the best place for him so he can sleep off any hangovers he may get.I suppose it beats sleeping it off in a spanish police cell lol.I wonder if coley can find a young Torres out there to get on loan, wishful thinking on my part.

Credit to you for going, but in all honesty, is anyone really interested in this jaunt?
|
Re: Stanley to play in Spain
I would have been interested if I'd known a couple of month in advance.
Most people are up for a few days away at the best of times, lump Stanley into the equation and it becomes more attractive, Some fags and beer, although not that much cheaper anymore would bring the cost of the trip down to next to nowt. 3 days on 'holiday' with your mates? or working in January and having to defrost the car every morning? |
Re: Stanley to play in Spain
i know where i would rather be, i would of gone if i had known ealier could of gone with the players on the plane becuase of the people not going but cant becuase i have a medical tomorrow if it was not for that i would of gone with them, they have gone today think they come back thursday

Re: Stanley to play in Spain
lets hope so lets do a city with what they did with robinho when he thought he was signing for a different club and he turned up at city! tell them its liverpool easy just get the work permit out the way! lets hope they have a good couple of days out there training fully and team bonding as it says! and they come back fresh and fired up for saturdays game and bring 3points back home, than maybe eric will pay them more to go away again

Weakend Team:confused: Whats that all about? Thought we only just had enough for ONE Team:rolleyes::rolleyes:.
1 - 0 to Accrington. Niggly game ruined by referee. Even allowing that Torry had a weakened team, Accrington were probably likewise but still the better team. Long may it continue, Bantams and Home games!!! :):):) |

Re: Stanley to play in Spain
What a good few days that was and welcomed and look after by Stanley, apprechiated we made the trip. The game wasnt the best and the ref , i dont think the crowd + me have laughed as much in our lives! Even the premiership refs where joining in with " whos the w**ker in the black" haha. For the first ten minutes it was a friendly , the rest made it look like the derby. The ref was the worst ive ever seen and will never moan ever again about the refs in england! How bobby and smith got sent off is beyond me! Especially when smith got fouled! :/ Oh well. Welcomed by the locals and their was around 35 stanley fans that had made the trip from their homes around spain!
Cant remember most of it, but of what i do , it was a great trip! Got 7 programmes aswell for anyone who would like to purchase one.. :) Got some pics aswell when i get round to putting them on :) |
