Well at least one person on here might get to the game? Not far from benidorm I am led to believe... second week in january is it? Quite a few people got told about it at the last game.. completely slipped my mind..

I said it last time and I'll it again this time - a trip like this would also work wonders for the club/fans relationship. What a shame we didn't have a few weeks notice on this in order to try to book a trip.

I'd love to see a coach load of fans make the trip to watch this game. :(

It will only be a kick about match on a training ground. Would anybody really be that interested or would there be other reasons for going where beer is cheap and plentiful :D

Re: Stanley to play in Spain

it doesn't really matter what the game is or signifies (or doesn't would be more appropriate) but its a chance to watch the Reds play somewhere new, somewhere your mates didn't go, somewhere that in five, ten, fifteen years time you can say 'can you remember that time in Spain when Milesy made that full blooded challenge?'

7 people went to Barbados 13 years ago and all of them are still regulars at the FES, it instills a bit more hardcore into you. That particular group of people stood with others on the terrace at the time and very few of those people go anymore.

And yes, the beer and baccy run would be nice as well ...... ~(would even pay for the jolly)

These things are often not pid for by the club but financed through other peoples benevolence or various contacts. If the contact was made through the Spanish club it could be the majority of the finance is coming from their side.

I would have been interested if I'd known a couple of month in advance.

Most people are up for a few days away at the best of times, lump Stanley into the equation and it becomes more attractive, Some fags and beer, although not that much cheaper anymore would bring the cost of the trip down to next to nowt. 3 days on 'holiday' with your mates? or working in January and having to defrost the car every morning?

Not surprised at that... the dying swan is practiced to good affect in Spain.....The cries of 'get up you big marred arse' will not wash here.
If Stanley won that is a terrific bonus no matter what the ref decided.

Re: Stanley to play in Spain

What a good few days that was and welcomed and look after by Stanley, apprechiated we made the trip. The game wasnt the best and the ref , i dont think the crowd + me have laughed as much in our lives! Even the premiership refs where joining in with " whos the w**ker in the black" haha. For the first ten minutes it was a friendly , the rest made it look like the derby. The ref was the worst ive ever seen and will never moan ever again about the refs in england! How bobby and smith got sent off is beyond me! Especially when smith got fouled! :/ Oh well. Welcomed by the locals and their was around 35 stanley fans that had made the trip from their homes around spain!
Cant remember most of it, but of what i do , it was a great trip!
Got 7 programmes aswell for anyone who would like to purchase one.. :)
Got some pics aswell when i get round to putting them on :)
