I was hurt by booing decision jimmy

jimmy bell in his weekly write up in the paper writes

i think our win against morecambe on tuesday was one of our most convining performances for quite a while, but i was disgusted that some people booed when we took chris tuner off. ... i was upset that about 20 people to the right of the dug out started booing when we subbed turner after 70mintues morecambe had gone with three up front so we just brought leam richardson on to nullify the threat. chris had done well but it was only jis fourth game in the first team and he was tiring abit... the booing was alarming and it hurt me i must admit i had abit of a good back! he goes on to say no bids for andy proctor although we had a bit more interest we have had a tenative enquiry from plymouth and i think they were coming to watch him. he also say, they still have got abit of money left to bring in one or two more loan players! godwin antwi was also offered to us along with craig lindifield but i think that would of been alot of money! we also had a bid rejected for sean McConville of skelmersdale and they are interested in a young striker from man city david ball!

Didn't hear any booing on Tuesday but have to admit was a bit surprised that Chris was coming off when he was playing so well, if he was tiring though fair enough. Was also a bit worried about Leam coming on having been told that he's not fit yet but bless him he certainly looked happy to be back in the fray.

Must say there was a little bit and a few moans only because Turner was on fire at the time and morecombe couldn't deal with him.must say thought Milesy should have made way for LEAM :)

Yes Jimmy did voice his opinion, and the more likely substitution should have been John Miles, one of 3 wide players, yet only one stays wide - Chris Turner. As I was set next to the Rochdale scout,we both agreed that,as he had only just made the step up he possibly was tireing. All the more surprising when he still looked livelier than our no.7.If these things were better communicated ie. regular updates from the management on the official website, the same website that hasn't posted a report from Tuesday nights win!! perhaps supporters might understand how we are nurturing our young talent.

I hope you told the Rochdale scout that Proccy is total rubbish, he never normally plays that good, hes a waste of money, shouldnt be playing etc ;)

Sorry but cannot agree with the parts of the above posts that are not positive towards Milsey:confused: He was at times ON FIRE! Not just my opinion but the opinion of quite a few of the people around me in The Clayton End, and to be honest that young kid Turner needs plenty of matches under his belt before he will last 90 Mins, he is a tremendous prospect for us in the future but we must look after him and then we will be able to see the promise that he obviously has be realised on the pitch.

:):):):):):)

P.S. Did not hear any booing at the subbing.

I agree milsey was on fire at times but seem to drift in and out of the game the latter part of the game, were as yound Turner seemed to in the thick of it but fair dues to jc for resting him and it was good to have leam back in action:) and on the Rochdale scout thing he was only checking out Morecome cause the Dale are playing the Shrimps soon, also he said their interest in proccy was over (lets hope so):)

Re: I was hurt by booing decision jimmy

Skem have had some good players over the years:

Steve Heighway
Micky Burns (Blackpool, Newcastle and Middlesboro)
my Uncle Harry - Everton (1930-2) Preston NE (1932 - 1939)
Wally Bennett
Tony Kay (Sheffield Wednesday and Everton) - though a bit past his prime by then.

They had a big free scoring centre forward a couple of years back as well.
