Re: Game Off

Just found this on the BBC Sports pages

"In League Two, Accrington Stanley's game against Luton has been postponed because of snow."

Have they imported some?? Surely it would be a frozen pitch above all else??!!

Bloody tinpot club, no snow, who forgot to put the covers on earlier this week? Yet another Tuesday night game to look forward to, NOT.

We should have a game to go to tomorrow for any Luton fans who may find our forum but IMHO we have balls it up again.

That would only give the Luton fans 5 hour to get here, have you seen the news and amount of snow down their way?

Re: Game Off

Looking at the weather forecast I can't see the pitch thawing much before Tuesday, looks like thats a possible "match off" too

Volunteers are needed tomorrow morning to help clear the pitch of snow ahead of our next home game against Brentford on Tuesday.

Was listening to Rob on the radio this morning saying they had left the snow on the pitch all week to protect the ptich from frost, didn't realise they meant Tuesdays game :D

Why do they need volunteers for tomorrow morning, they have 4 full days and a youth team

Yea, funny thing was though, the other night when Bradford called their game with Darlo off quite late (about half six'ish I think), I had a look on Bradford's forum and no sign of Mr Quakerz on there calling them all names under the sun. Must've been a bigger disappointment to him that he couldn't come & sample the delights of the Crown Ground :)
