I don't usually post links (I'll leave that up to others), but this report makes some interesting reading:

In particular is the bit towards the end where an anonymous person (isn't this always the case?) says that a league 2 club will fold this season and won't complete their fixtures.

I wonder who that is?

Possibly Chester City?? They are supposed to be in loads of trouble - wages caps and loads of players they cannot get rid of....

Bournemouth, were they not supposed to have until last monday to find a sum of money, which was subsequently deferred by a fortnight or so?

:eek: Chester i hope not we have yet to play them at home and need the extra dosh that this game brings with it;):rolleyes::D, on another note i didn't know clubs get extra cash to tied them over in between end and begining of seasons (quarterly central payment from the Football League of about £130,000. That money arrives in late April and is vital in helping clubs handle summers without gate receipts.):)

They don't get the quarterly payment if they are in administration, that is to stop it being paid to creditors, but makes the situation at the club worse.

I just thought it'd make a change from all the 'Guess The Gate', 'Guess The Score', 'Guess The Pie Temperature', etc, threads that seem to proliferate.

no problem, but those of us with long memories cannot remember anyone feeling sorry fer Stanley (62) but remember hearing of a guy 5 miles up the road gloating at the demise, so forgive me T.M. if i just don't give a stuff if some other club suffers a similar fate.:);)

Ya cashy gloating even though he had a hand in their demise, just because to thought he would sign Mike Ferguson for free, that backfired big time as he signed for Rovers

yep n though i am not one to hold a grudge,if theres n afterlife n cashy ends up in the same place,ya can put money on me kicking the swine in the bollocks.:D
