cheers hopefully the new guy will be able to bring some funds which Eric couldnt give, but he's done the club a job some chairmens couldn't dream of doing

Funds or not to start with,it is at the very least a long overdue move by Eric. A fresh outlook is just what the Dr ordered (sp). Thats one more season ticket the club will sell when the deal is done.

Yes, I was hoping it'd be him too, fc. A completely new pair of hands to come in and introduce some original thinking on how to make the club more appealing to the local public. Doesn't look like it's going to be, though.

Hi guys,
Bury fan here, just seen that your club has been taken over. It's been discussed on our message board and we all wish you well and genuinely hope it works out for the fans and the club.
Despite the 'Greed is God' league and the likes of Chelsea and Manure, football would be a poorer place without clubs like ours.
All the best.

KEEP THE FAITH

just to say EW is a legend in my book - without his solid stewardship I doubt there would be an Accrington Stanley. As it appears we're about to head into the unknown, I think it only right we record our respect and gratitude to Mr ASFC.

- - - and yeah, I sure hope the JC/JB remains in situ - despite the frustrated comment that gets voiced on here, we all know they have done an incredible job on a shoestring.

Eric was on BBC Northwest last night and he seemed to say nothing had been sealed yet, in fact he told Gordon Burns he had had a text message from some one who told him not to sell until he'd seen him, but he wouldn't disclose any names even when pushed by Burns
