Today's game

Feel like stopping the cheque for my season ticket after that erformance. Dire from all our players, with their incredible hulk at number 4 heading away about 100 balls launched into space by our defenders. Wake up lads - Mullin doesen't play for us any more. After Jimmy elected to pass to an offside John Miles early on when he had a clear shot on goal available it always looked like being one of those days. Their goalie did well to deny Lindfield twice and saved brilliantly a couple of other times, but then we just ran out of any creative ideas. Why on earth Coey didn't bring on the loanee from Burnley to add some spark to midfield I'll never know.

That was one of the most unenjoyable games in years.

That was not good today, Lincoln bossed it easily,I would have struggled to pick a man of the match. We must do better against Chester and Grimsby.

Lincoln are a decent side and showed that they wanted it more than us today. They out-battled us and we didn't look up for it at all. Seemed like an end-of-season game throughout.

This game made me feel like the recent unbeaten run was in spite of the 'Football Genius', not because of him. I'm glad I haven't shelled out for a season ticket if that's what we've got to look forward to next season. Which fool picked Procter as man MOTM, was he playing?

Re: Today's game

To be fair to the lads their heads dropped after the period of play where there was 2 penalty appeals turned down and they were being hacked down with challenges from behind constantly and the ref just played on. The ref lost the game early in the first half when he didn't book their number 5 for the bad challenge and then he complained and complained. Ref could have nipped the problem in the bud by showing him a yellow and not discussing it but he showed himself soft there and they were taking every advantage of the refs incompetance. Rocky is always a liability and im just glad he's managed to play as many consecutive games as he has without conceeding a goal. I have always said Grant isn't up for league football and he's proved me right once again, what's wrong with Turner ? Would have started McConville if turner was not available.

Posted via Mobile Device it wasn't an exciting match at all, they looked burnt out. There was no omph at all except in pockets, hope next match sees a better improvement, yes it did sway me from the ticket office.

Only high point today was seeing Anthony Elding waiting in the penalty area for the corner appearing to give a somewhat avant garde dance interpretation of the "tribute" he was getting from the Clayton End.

Movement, passing, crossing and finishing not good.

McConville was beating people and getting into dangerous positions. As the game went on it looked more like he would deliver an end product. I would have liked to see him on earlier.

I was disappointed Cav didnt shoot when he went on that great run in the first half instead of electing to spray the ball to Grant which gave them time to regroup.

Then also at the Clayton End there were two of us running onto the ball at close range and the ball got bundled agonisingly wide.

Afraid the score was a fair reflection of Lincoln's superiority. 3-0 would not have flattered them and it nearly was.

Kenny Arthur's expression at the end said it all.

Not sure that would have counted, Haggis. 10/10 for enthusiasm, though. :)

Might have managed to bundle it to the right hand side of the post though rather than the corner flag side.

If you didn't notice him it was presumably because he made less mistakes/fluffed less chances/ took less wrong options than any other outfield player(?)

I can well believe this. When his career as a footballer comes to an end I sincerely hope he doesn't attempt to become a comedian, if his comic timing is as bad as his timing of a tackle he's knackered before he starts. Cav is a conference standard player at the best.
