fighting fund
Doug mentioned it a few weeks ago before any of us knew what was about to explode - and a few people have posted offerings on another thread. Let's keep it to one thread where we can all see what is being offered by the good people of Accy Web.
I propose that any gatherings of monies should be put into OSC fund and then DEBTS CAN BE PAID DIRECTLY FROM THE OSC TO THE CREDITOR. The alternative to this would be that any monies could be JOINTLY USED TO PURCHASE SHARES if any share issue materialises. I've not got much spare money but I'll kick it off with £100 ...... anybody else? please post only if you are chipping in - if you are not interested please use another thread to discredit it (mods can you please keep this thread free of littering?) |
Re: fighting fund
Ok Rob,Ill pitch in but cant tie myself to a specific amount atm. However please accept this pledge as one that I will honour.

Re: fighting fund
I too, will put in money, I can't be specific about the amount, depending on when it's needed. I pledge between £100 and a grand.
|
Re: fighting fund
If the time and need arises, I will pledge a donation
It may be worth considering having a tete a tete, reference current OSC Funds and whether some of that could be be set aside and used if needed? |
Re: fighting fund
Sorry to be vague, but I will when the time arises, cough up as much as I can afford.....
P.S. Cheers Macca |
Re: fighting fund
forgot to add - you could make your payments payable to Accrington Stanely Supporters Club if you wanna pay by cheque (can be posted to me) or you could pay by paypal if you are a little further afield.
thanks so far people. |
Re: fighting fund
Well I'm not a true Stanley fan, as most of you know, but put me down for £100, can't see the club go under twice in my lifetime
|
Re: fighting fund
Put me down too.who should i send money too via paypal as i'm in cleethorpes.
|
Re: fighting fund
I'm in for a £100.00 at this point Rob, I'll keep hold of my other stated amount until there's a share issue. Not being selfish but I want share to pass on when I kark it, just for there historical value.
Can you run a general Total as we go on...... |

Re: fighting fund
I too will put my hand into my pocket. Unsure how much Rob,between 50 -100 pounds.
..........what a shock....... :( |
Re: fighting fund
payable to Accrington Stanley Supporters Club, but hang fire on it yet - as and when folks. Let's see what we can have pledged first and then how to go about distributing it.
|
Re: fighting fund
Yep, will pledge £100, mate.

Re: fighting fund
Stanley Ultras are fully behind a push for a Supporters Trust for ASFC. I haven't looked into the why's & where for's but I have proposed we have a meeting in the coming week(s) for all interested parties to come together. Grabbing money into a pot is no good, folk could be paying in forever.
What we need is a fan or fan(s) on the board, just to make sure the club is being transparent. I will pledge money BUT only into a Supporters Trust or similar |
Re: fighting fund
I think the way to go is along the road of a share issue to put the money in. At least that way we would have something to show for the input because so far I pay into the Stanley Legends and get next to nothing that was promised and I have a programme subscription and don't get them unless I come down which is usually a dozen times a season if the Rangers aren't playing that day and Is a 300 mile round trip by public transport. I buy what I can in the store which is very limited and had I got a reply from Rob I would have bought a season ticket at the reduced prices as it would have almost covered the games I can make. I keep coming back despite how the club deals with me but prior to today I was close to cancelling it all. If it is done right I will match your £100 Macca but gonnae get the club to send me my Chesterfield programme:)
Willie Miller makes sense!!!! (Did I really say that Jase, watp) |
