Its unfortunate you didnt post this yesterday or the day before as i could of gone tonight and wanted to but havent been on Accyweb today so obviously didnt see this. I didnt even know there was a meeting tonight as its the 13th. Bit late notice but it isnt your fault Stanleymad.

Sorry folks, would of posted it yesterday if i knew it wasnt gonna be posted up due to half committee, but as of tonight is now sorted & OSC back up & running again with a bit more gusto :p interesting times coming.

:)although im not an active member of the OSC it would have been a sad day for all concerned and im glad everything is back on track and the uncertenty of the OSC is put to bed.well done ladies and gents:):)

as of yesterday I have decided to bear arms once more and fight the good fight for Sir Stanley. For my sins I am now Chair of the OSC again ;)

numbers are limited at the moment and I have talked a lot in the past as to how this severely hinders our ability to do things, we also have the Fighting Fund to compete with for your attention, money, ideas etc so what I thought was .... lets limit what we do but do it BIG. It's still up for discussion at the next meeting but we talked briefly about whether we should try to resurrect the open day from a couple of years ago. The advantage this time is that we know it could cost us up to £2000 for the relevant license - whereas last time we didn't know until shortly beforehand.

That's the biggie. The second major discussion point was what to do about memberships. Cards and badges haven't yet been designed let alone ordered - it won't be September until we have them in hand. So having missed a third of the membership year we have decided to extend membership for two seasons, so you'll be getting 18 months for the price of 12 months (although prices have increased slightly to £7,£5 and £3.50). Also, there won't be a membership secretary as such because nobody wants to do it. So we will each be taking responsibility for an allocation of memberships and we will all try to sell 10.

So there you have it, less is more this time out. It's good to be back :eek:

the badge is from 1952 I think but I have been meaning to check it using the names from the clip.

I have thought about using old badges for re-releases but haven't got any further than that. For the time being though any 'official' badges will retain the crest

if anybody wants to submit a design for consideration (or at least for an idea to work from) then I'll give you today and tomorrow. I need to have one done by tomorrow night and then I can try to get some done ASAP
