50/50 draw

Wasn't it nice to professional tickets printed for the draw, instead of the cheap cloakroom tickets we have used for years. Noticed it is also sponsored this year. The club on are the up. Well done the club.

They should take it one step further - business cards with a number on it. How much would a sponsor pay to have 100-200 business cards handed out every home game ?

Considering the prize at the Blackburn game was £207 that would equate to 414 business cards! I think the tickets that were handed out on Tuesday night were fine.

Aye but the Burnley game is an exception really isn't it - though you are right 200-300 is more like it. And I wasn't saying there is anything wrong with the ones used on Tuesday just that this would be a way of getting even more money for the sponsorship as it would provide more for the sponsors.

Just an idea :)

It was also a nice touch to draw the 50/50 on the side of the pitch at HT. I always buy a ticket and it's nice to see it being done more professionally overall.

Another one I noticed on Tuesday night was that injury time isn't sponsored. Sounds corny but somebody actually pays for it at the Turf ( ironically an Accrington company )

Huntroyde Nurseries was the one, run by Peter used to be a regular on the Crown I think he has another business besides the nursey now doing Burnley Memorabilia & other footy stuff in Burnley:)

was he mild mannered or did he get a bit Shirty sometimes :D

So whats the going rate for this priveledge I wonder. Guaranteed a mention twice every game, although if you're winning 1-0 and the announcement is 5 minutes added time I suspect the sponsors name will be drowned out by the groans :D

A lot of people say this to me so I've asked for it to be published in the programme at the next game. Should make it easier now that it is also drawn on the pitch at half time and on the website. No excuses now not to get your tickets... :D
