Mullin May Have To Retire

From today's 'Telegraph'.

“John has been plagued by an ankle injury and I think he is going to see a specialist to determine his next step,” said Reds assistant Jimmy Bell.
“It could be, if the news is really bad, that he might have to retire.

I think John adds a great amount to the side whenever he features. It would be a real shame if we lost him from the squad.

I agree aswell, Jimmy bell says aswell thagt we got a new training ground at preston sports arena! he says its alot better than the council sport pitches, but its a shame they cant train in accrington as they got offered to but would need about 2million putting into it to make it a training area with changing rooms etc.

John Mullin back at Burnley - Burnley FC - Clarets MAD

coach at burnley's youth centre, as well as on the playing roll with us.

it'd be a shame to lose him - but getting him off the books sooner rather than later would allow us to sign up either Linfield, Lloyd or Melo all of whom have been training with us all season any way.

Re: Mullin May Have To Retire

I'd go lindfield, than we have symes, grant and kee strikers, and think he has a great work rate and always liked him as a player. Another one that would go for alot of money.

I'd take Lloyd we've got 5 very good attackers:
Symes, King, Kee, Grant, Turner
and Miles can play up front. Another midfielder would do me.

Its a big loss to the club if he has to retire. It would be nice to bring in a tough tackling big midfielder or a full back.

Re: Mullin May Have To Retire

i'd go for Lloyd - full back. Thats where we are short with Winnard having to play there and young Murphy, having said that how long are King and Richardson out for? with them 2 back we have good competition for places and then I think its up front where we lack genuine options.

I really liked the look of Melo but I think that with the small squad we have its a position where we are not short of options.

We know what Lindfield has to offer, and I would to see him in accy shirt again.

But we are short of full-back becuase of long term injuries to King and Leam. For me Murphy doesnt cut it at left back.

Melo looked like a good player, knew how to use the ball and got stuck in. I reckon he could play full back. (Joyce did)

Simple choice would be lloyd.
