..just as an after thought, I wonder what JC and JB think of this deal?

JB sounded pretty adament that no such deal would happen. Has this been decided by the Board that the deal had to happen thereby underminding both JC and JB. I hope not for JC's sake. A legend at CP.

Loan window isnt anywhere near shut IRC. We turned down a substanstial amount last season.. so i would expect the fee to have some figure.

I think we could afford his wages Jimbo , its just that since his move to Bradford as stanley fans i think we could sense a different mood with Paul. Also we have been playing so so much better at the end of last season and the games this season without Paul!

Its time for him to move on and the club knows it, the fans know it and so does Paul.

Everyone knows how much of a legend this guy actually is, id be here all day typing it!

Good Luck Paul! :)

I doubt it. There's a lot of bluff and bluster in these kind of situations, people talking things up to get an outcome...

JC - always a legend :notworthy

Gutted with this news :( But not surprised to be honest, really, really hope it works out for Mullers - apart from playing Stanley :D - the worst thing for me is no testimonial for such a true servant :( :(

Shortly I'm going to be on 2BR talking about this transfer etc. and we'll also have some thoughts from Coley on the situation...

In tomorrow night's coverage we'll then have an extended interview, plus a tribute to Paul's Stanley career.

But if all things go to plan you should hear me and Coley on 99.8FM 2BR or at 2br - Home Page in the next 15 minutes.

Gutted. The financial benefits are obvious as in my opinion (as much as the management have said in the press that they want Paul to stay) the club have been trying to whore him out for the best part of a year. On the footballing side I think this move will prove to be highly regrettable; most know that I think Paul still has a lot to offer on the pitch, but behind the scenes I think the strikers we have contracted to the club (Symes and King) could definitely use the input and influence of Paul Mullin. Couldn't bear seeing Mullers play against us. I hope no idiot gives him stick when he does.

I would be amazed if anybody did  But if somebody did, I would think they would regret it ;) :)

whilst it may be true that Paul has a lot to offer in terms of experience and 'coaching' the younger lads, that wouldn't be worth what Paul is/was paid - that can only be purely down to what happens over the ninety minutes. From that point of view we have had the best of him and for that I truly thank him for his exceptional service and professionalism over the last 10 years.

From a personal point of view I am gutted cos I sponsored his shirt this year!!!! never mind at least I can get it earlier!

Good luck Paul. I hope you still get 20 goals this year but obviously Morecambe still have to finish below us

Macca I am sure if you have a word with the Morecambe Commercial director you will be able to sponsor him !

Seriously I am very excited about seeing him in our team. We dreaded playing against him.
