No, it wasn't, it was in the "General Chat" section, so it could be seen by those who don't usually visit the Stanley section. Possibly, someone with a neurotic aversion to even the slightest mention of football in that section asked for it to be moved?

I thought that was why Ken put it there so more people would see it.:(

I wonder why, surely the well being of Stanley is of interest to almost every one whether they like football or not

Jaysay, Wynonie and Doug.

Don't worry if you read my post in the Rochdale Sponsored Walk thread, your only sponsoring me one way, your sponsorship hasn't doubled :D

Re: Sponsored walk

we were asked last night if we were doing the walk,me n the fella would love to but we have 1 child in a wheel chair and 1 in a pram plus 4 walking kids are we able to bring them on the walk as we will struggle for a babysitter for that time of morning and most of the day

K.S.H 12-09-2009 10:46

Re: Sponsored walk

Hi Katei77,
Can I direct you to this thread
I can't see there being a problem but just confirm it with Rob (macca) as he is the one who has organised the walk

Re: Sponsored walk

absolutely anyone can join in with the walk - all we ask is that if you are under 16 YOU MUST HAVE YOUR PARENTS PERMISSION.

Obviously any younger children must have at least one parent with them and the parent will be responsible for them.

We have just over 40 people signed up so far and I gave around 20 sponsorship forms to John Timmins last night for the Ultras (need some more please Ken). If you are planning on doing this walk then please contact me for forms. You can collect from me in town, at the next game or I'll drop one around if you are local. There will be some in the club shop from tuesday onwards as well.

The staff at the club (hopefully all) are joining in, as are our local media folk so hopefully we can get to somewhere approaching 100 people.

Target now is ten grand!
