Michael Symes

Deserves a thread all to himself after tonight's performance. Answered with a vengeance any remaining doubts that he can fill Mully's boots with a brilliant display. Great, productive hold up and linking play, skill on the ball, power, aggression and sublime finishing. Best centre forward display that I can remember for Stanley for a very long time. He's not endowed with massive physique, but he certainly puts himself about. Dead pleased for the lad tonight.

Gotta agree Redraine, he has come on leaps & bounds this season, now looks fully fit and has all the kit in his locker of a top class pro and is now playing at the top of his game.
Long may it continue!

And when he flicks the long ball header on it goes to one of our players ...........

Playing really well; important to the team; good signing

Spot on Redraine. I thought tonight's was his best ever display in a Stanley shirt. In my opinion he was man of the match by a distance - but, having said that, I wouldn't want to take any credit away from the others.

A cautionary note - I'm still FAR from convinced about Martin. Looks like we've now got TWO very ordinary keepers!

think martin will develop meself, n if he has both legs tied together still prefer him to dunsavin.:D

Myself and my mates at the game were saying the same thing about this symes lad. Id have him at Bury without a shadow of a doubt.

After the last home game against darlo, I lavished praise on Symes for his overall play but dished him on his shooting. Tonight he did the business and I'm really pleased for him, he's grown in confidence since PM left and fair play to him , he's risen to the challenge. Hope this performance gives him the confidence to keep working on his game that will make him an even better player

Very Good LOL! Might be a bit out of Knillys "Budget" though. How about a tenner and a tray of chicken balti pies??? :)

We are a fickle bunch. How many clubs home attendance fluctuates by 700 in a week? Win a couple and we are going to go up, lose a couple and we are getting relegated.
