Rovers Help

I saw it on the LET boards that Rovers have arranged some help. However when I got the paper it wasn't actually in! Does anyone know what it was?

Whats the point in having a match in November when the money is needed for 24th October:confused:

Why Gamble the day to day running costs on the game?:confused:

C'mon Rovers pull you finger out!:o

Think they've got their own obligations to tend to , Gaz, like staying in the Prem. Somebody'll correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this planned for the dates that the Prem's got a week off for internationals ?

Re: Rovers Help

yes it is International week. So we will be playing the same Rovers Reserve side that tubbed us out of sight in the pre season friendly - in front of only a few hundred fans that were mostly Stanley fans.

1. The gate was mostly Stanley, and I wouldn't imagine that many will be interested in this match. My personal opinion only, but I seem to be spending a lot more money than I normally would on all things Stanley related - I'll be spending November and December trying to catch up at home with the bills etc.

2. Rovers fans didn't turn out for the friendly - why would the (2nd round) SOS cup be any different?

3. Will it be the other semi-final for the SOS Cup and when we lose do Rovers and Burnley get to contest the final? with all gate receipts coming to Stanley?

I hope we don't gamble away too much of the day to day money

Like line 3 Macca ;) P.S. Make sure you put a few quid to one side for the Macc match in November, when Colmeister will be back down ;) ;) :)

Nice idea, Macca, although I suppose policing costs might be a bit prohibitive!

They're also still in the League Cup and have an outstanding Prem game against Fulham to rearrange too

Posted via Mobile Device think on this tho look how many went to the burnley match 5301. Will rovers fans want to be shown up by burnleys fans? The only problem i can see is if there still be a stanley in november. I hope there is.

Re: Rovers Help

it wasn't meant as a dig at Rovers Cashy, and wasn't really a dig at Stanley, more a case of hoping that we don't assume we are going to make anything like as much as the Burnley match. If we get to thinking that we are expecting summat like a similar crowd and spend money we don't have, from the monthly budget, then we are going to be in more trouble again a little further down the line. Of course if we get a thousand on at a tenner then its 10k we didn't have - point taken.

But I think this might be the game where we could trial Grimps' idea of payment by donation?

As long as football is dictated by Lancashire police then there isn't a cat in hell's chance
