Full time, must of been great to be at the FES well done Coley and the lads for putting the off the field stuff behind you and getting on with it 3rd home win in a row
on the pitch things are looking up! get the off the field stuff up to standard an we will go places this season. |
Re: v Cheltenham
A good second half of attacking football from the Reds, against a poor side, good support from the Ultras, and 1845 crowd, 13th in the league, and the don saying we will not fold. all we need now is to sell Grant for a million quid and we can all relax

Re: v Cheltenham
Cheltenham have got to be the most negative team in the world, they were playing for the draw from kick off. Stanley let them drag the game down to their tempo in the first half but came out and played our way in the second good fast unrelenting attacking football and it could easily have been 7 or 8. Don't go Coley Coley don't go. Now to rush off to catch the bus back to manc

Re: v Cheltenham
Well done Stanley. We played our best available midfield today and it showed in the quality going forward. When we play our football we're a match for any team in this league or the one above. John Miles was man of the match in my opinion. Hope Darran Kempson's knock isn't too serious. Was slightly annoyed at Michael Symes for denying Bobby Grant's hat-trick near the end, but you've got to have that certain degree of selfishness to succeed as a centre-forward. Well done Coley & the boys.

Re: v Cheltenham
Game of two halves Bryan. First half poor, second brilliant. Cheltenham were never at the races. For once the sponsors were watching the match and gave MOM to Michael Symes for another centre forward masterclass.

Re: v Cheltenham
What a cracking afternoon out :D
Don't know what Coley said at half time but it certainly worked :D Thanks to the Ipswich fan that drove over for todays game, even went in the club shop and bought a shirt, he enjoyed his day out, says he's gonna register on here, please welcome this guy with open arms when he does, oh and sponsor him, I told him to get a form and walk it next time he comes :D |
Re: v Cheltenham
Superb performance and top class finishing. Shame Symes couldn't have scored the goal he so desperately wanted, but his MotM award was well deserved.
The second half was some of the best football we've played for a long time. |
Re: v Cheltenham
wait til you see the goals tonight/tomorrow. Bobby Grants second was rather special
bloody good performance today, particularly in the 2nd half. 1st half no goals and not much in terms of actual goal threat, although we did dominate possesion and played mostly in their half. I thought Milesy was beyond excellent today. He looked to do something every time. He ran at defenders, he tracked back, he produced tricks. Michael Symes won man of the match. A good all round performance of control and bringing other players in. The only thing you could comment on negatively was that he became rather greedy in the alter stages. His performance deserved a goal but he took every opportunity to fashion one for himself instead of playing others in. Only a minor grievance though. Bobby Grant was fantastic as well. His second goal was sublime. Inside the penalty area and he lobbed the keeper. Everyone in the ground could tell what he was going to do. He was under pressure from defenders but twisted and turned until he made the room to scoop it up and over the floundering keeper. Bavs shot stopping today was excellent. 100% pass rate. They didn't muster a single attempt on goal. Decent crowd as well considering they didn't fetch anywhere near what most of thought they'd bring - probably 200 tops |
