Re: Bits & Bobs
Colchester United,s home game against Forest Green is being used as a fund raiser for Ukraine £10 a ticket and Colchester will wear a special kit in Ukrainian colours all funds go to the cause great idea and hopefully a few more clubs will follow suit has this sad scenario will ultimately affect us all one way or another eventually.

Stanley U23s won 2-0 at Rochdale in the Central League Cup this afternoon, with goals from Archie Procter (and now Rochdale can't spell his name correctly) on 10 minutes and Cody on 55 minutes:

And we think we've had problems dominating games & failing to win. Check out these logic defying stats from tonight's Bolton v Morecambe game. Despite Bolton's complete dominance, the Shrimps were 1-0 up & out of the relegation zone - until a cruel 94th minute equaliser! |
Re: Bits & Bobs
Chelsea are given special permission to continue playing but are barred from selling home and away tickets only season ticket holders allowed in club shop shut and Abravomich barred from selling club as he is sanctioned, if they fall into administration they will get the necessary point,s punishment.

He'll top up the lost revenue from ticket sales and shop sales out of his pocket (spending money). Wages all paid. He's already said that he wouldn't profit personally from the sale and any profit made would go straight to Ukranian relief charities. His issue will be the transfer embargo in and out. All depends how long this humanitarian disaster goes on for. |

Re: Bits & Bobs
Call me hard- hearted but, given what’s happening elsewhere, I’m really struggling to have any concern for the ‘troubles’ of Abramovich or Chelsea FC.

Andy simply highlighting the issue from a football perspective. The "haves" will prevail. Before any money runs out the sale will be agreed and everyone will move on - footballing wise that is. |
Re: Bits & Bobs
Chelsea,s main shirt sponsor suspends it's £40 million a year contract immediately others expected to follow suit.

Re: Bits & Bobs
Let the sale go through get the funds paid into an Escrow Account.
Government can then drip feed funds into the club subject to audit. No way a club the size of Chelsea will fail on the end of this. Starve Abramovich of any proceeds. |
Re: Bits & Bobs
Chelsea fans reportedly chanting Abrovenich,s name at Norwich last night thick and don't realise what role this mafia type bloke has had in the Putin regime. Government for once IMHO doing something right hope he ends up on his ass, Chelsea will be sold just has long as he doesn't make another halfpenny from them, will they be propped up as before financially doubt it but to me that's a good thing for football in general far to many reliant on " generous " owners.
