Many of the best managers were mediocre players, Dalgleish being one exception. |

It also depends what you mean by mediocre. If you played for your Country you were hardly ****. I thought Nolan was a great pro and Kewell was decent. The best non playing Manager ever for me was Laurie MCMenemy but he had a military background. |
Re: Bits & Bobs
I can’t think of any League One Manager who isn’t an ex player.

Re: Bits & Bobs
Any particular reason why we don’t have a game in the EFL trophy this week and most others do?

This is off topic; but I'll let it go!! WBA didn't want this date as it's it International Break. Invited clubs lead the way on the dates for fixtures. If you remember we played Middlesboro on the "reserve" date last year. |

It seems a bizarre decision unless they plan on playing a strong 11? |
Re: Bits & Bobs
Makes some sense to keep the Cat 1 clubs "on-side".
Middlesboro had a few of their younger lads on International duty; guess WBA have the same situation. |
Re: Bits & Bobs
even nuneaton borough in the conference north have called off their game because of this international break thing. wonder though why teams have big squads as if players are injured they just have to get on with it.
