Ground Admission

I am over 70 and I pay the reduced rate of £10 to watch Stanley at home.

I went to Macc last Sat and had to pay £14 for the concessonary rate.

I admit that most of the facilities at Macc were better than ours;bar, snacks, toilet, and free parking if you came early.

Is our admission fee too cheap or is Maccs too dear.:)

Re: Ground Admission

The thing that annoyed me about Macc was that they put us in the seated area and charged us £18.00, good bit of marketing that! In answer to your question Peelparker1, I think that £13/£15 is OK, most other grounds Crewe, Vale, Dale, Bury Etc. are all £18 upwards!! I am not paying to use the toilets, not bothered about the snack bar and stuff, they are all OKish, I am there to watch the footy and that has been great value for money, thus far this season.... :D :D :) :)

I am a big believer especially at a time of empty seats even in the Premiership and the current credit crunch, that football has to come back more in contact with the public and making it more affordable to all has to be the first step in that re-connection process.

Football is pricing itself out of business

If the Mancs had a 100,000 seat stadium I recon they could fill it, but they would be one of the few exceptions. I agree with Lancsdave. There is a lot of football clubs struggling at the moment. Stanleys pricing of tickets at the moment is just about right. People will pay a reasonable price to watch a succesful team, no matter what division.

I think League 2 clubs should set a price at £10 for adults. £5 for juniors and try to reduce wages a little bit.. You'd see a hell of alot more fans come through the gates instead of sitting on their arm chairs watching Man UTD. Us 3 could have sat at home in the warmth with a brew and watch AC Milan v Man UTD, but we decided to head to Lincoln (1hr 10mins drive) to come watch the mighty Stanley, we have no connection to either club. I just wish more people (can't call them fans) would do the same!
