Last night

Hey guys

Lincoln fan here in peace

I just wanted to that your support is excellent. They sang all match long, even when losing and are a real credit to your club.

In terms of the match, you guys deserved to win, don't get me wrong I'm delighted to have won, but it certainly wasn't a deserved three points and there was only one team in it for 80 or so minutes. Your team is far better than the team we've beaten on a regular basis and I'm sure good things are ahead for Accrington.

Also, if what I've heard about some of our chavs/"fans" is true regarding your coaches, allow me to apologise on behalf of all the decent Lincoln fans, we don't condone these muppets doing this so I hope you don't paint all Lincoln fans with the same brush.

Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Slevin.

Re: Last night

I hope the idiots get whats coming to them when they come to Grimsby on Saturday. They even tried to follow me and my 2 mates so we stayed near the stewards, lucky they didn't know we are Grimsby fans or else they'd gone even crazier!

Accy fans are amazing, standing with them last night proved that you can still have passion in this game, i for 1 will defenately be going to another Accy game this year and for years to come! I love a good atmosphere and that is right up their with the FC United atmosphere (probably better!!)

Re: Last night

Thanks for that Slevin, and of course we know that it was a stupid minority that caused the damage to our coach but as Smudgie said, it certainly put me off visiting Sincil Bank again.
Maybe your stewards knew what could happen & thats why they shepherded our lads out at the end of the game, but according to the police it's not the first time something like this has occurred so why weren't we warned and given a police escort out of there?
God only knows what they would have done if we had won

Re: Last night

I just felt sorry for the OAP's and little girl on the coach.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour, what did they think they could achieve by throwing bricks at our coach???

a ground to avoid in the future

Re: Last night

Worst of it is, me and the 2 lads where about to walk out of the gate and see the Lincoln 'kids' and warned 3 stewards/policeman about it.. They said ok, walked over to the gate and that was it.. By then the Kids had moved down the road waiting for the coach.

Re: Last night

I'm gutted about last night firstly the match was devastating, controlling a game for an hour and then to lose all the points, we should have put the game to bed whilst we had the chance.

I just hope that the acts of half a dozen chavs doesnt put off anybody from travelling away with the stanley, more annoyingly these low-life scumbags will never be found and they'll keep doing all season until a more serious incident occurs.

Re: Last night

To be honest, it's the first time in a while we've heard of troubles like this, so I don't know where it's comes from all a sudden. We play local derbies and this doesn't seem to happen, so very strange.

Lincolnshire Police are useless, you'd get more common sense out of a onion.

Re: Last night

the policemen who came to the coach afterwards said that it had happened a few times. This begs the question why was there not more high profile policing or an escort away from the ground?

Id have to agree Rob.

Bravo on your chat with Adele and Stacey, put their minds at ease

Re: Last night

Yeah I would concur

This is an isolated incident for anyone worried about away travel. Still a great trip for me despite the defeat & the coach incident (both on the way when we nearly got stuck in Birch & the bricks)

Stanley played well despite the score. There were lots of new faces on the coach. The banter was great & spirits were high. Stanley fans were loud again in support of the reds.

Lets keep supporting & lady luck will smile again. Coley always gets it right eventually

we were disappointed with the bricks, however we have always had a good time at lincoln, only a few ruined it

Re: Last night

Got to say it was funny listening to the policeman calling the incident in ' we have a coach with damaged windows and about fifty Accrington fans singing & bouncing about on a garage forecourt' :) Must have thought we're crackers!
