Players Available
I know the season is only just finished but I always find this part of the season fascinating as players sign new deals, move on elsewhere and new players come in and teams start to take shape.
One site I always make beeline for is: Football News, Headlines & Goals | Give Me Football some interesting names in there who could definately do a job for the Red's as already mentioned in another thread Kenny Arthur is in there along with Bury Stopper Wayne Brown and Leeds Keeper Casper Ankergren. Other stand out names include at Left Back David Buchanan-Bury Ryan Dickson-Brentford Nathan Smith -Yeovil Strikers Delroy Facey-Notts County Jon Macken-Barnsley Joe Ayisah-Carlisle Oh well it helps pass a bit of time away till the World Cup kicks off:) |
Re: Players Available
Superb website !!!

Re: Players Available
like "Jamie Clapham" ok 34 yrs old, reckon would do a great job fer couple of seasons.:)

Re: Players Available
I would like to see us chase the likes of
Andrew Cave-Brown, Leonard Pidgeley stands out in the GK position. Matthew Tipton. This year I hope we sign a few lads released from prem/championship clubs. Players such as Sam Howson ect. |
Re: Players Available
Some great keepers up for grabs there !!

More clubs than Tiger Woods :D Got to be a reason for that  Suprised Ankergren is on a free, looked useful when they were on telly in the cup |
Re: Players Available
symes had a few clubs before he moved to us and Coleman used his magic
|
Re: Players Available
and the club right back in debt again! The reason there are so many Notts county players on that list is because they can no longer afford to pay their wages. Jamie clapham was on approx £4,000 a week, i'm sure it said in the observer our weekly wage bill was gonna be about £10,000 a week, so thats just not going to happen!!!

Re: Players Available
There are certainly some good, experienced Football League players on that list. Unfortunately, our catchment area for players reaches its limit at Knutsford services, so most are a no-go

Re: Players Available
Cheers for that link Google Page Ranking, none of our lads on there yet, though that may change when Coley gets back off his hols!!!!!
|
Re: Players Available
tomorrow is supposed to be the day that they talk to the players .... depends whether it's Coleys' tomorrow or The Dons' tomorrow - if it's the latter then ......
|
Re: Players Available
That's if Coley manages to get back tomorrow what with the volcanic ash cloud making a comeback

A few other names on that list do catch the eye, Sam Hewson, Tony Kane and Lenny Pidgely plus a couple of others. Heres hoping Coleys legendary wheeler dealing can bring in some real hungry types for next season, then who knows what can happen!! |

If Kenny Arthur is fully fit he'd get my vote for the No1 Jersey, but I'd like to see Coley sign two keepers. I've never been a Dunbavin fan, I know the lad is a trier but put bluntly I don't think he's good enough.:o Danny Raachi ( released by Bury ) may be worth a look,a young lad who probably would have a point to prove, but I don't think Coley will have wads of cash to dipsense with on wages, that of course will depend on his retained list. If Symes does leave, I've said before, the Tadgh Purcell lad at Darlo would be a quality addition, although he'd probably command a good wage. However there's plenty of players on the look out for new clubs and I'm sure Coley has a good idea who he wants to sign !!! |
Re: Players Available
Has everyone some footballers will play because they enjoy turning out every week?
