Well yes, but isn't that how all rumours are made? Certainly a nice rumour...:D Although he has been correct about everything so far...He's told me Symes is going to Rochdale and he doesn't want that to happen!

We say this at the end of every season so what's new? We always manage to sort thing out and get a decent squat. Have faith.

I'm actually satisfied with who we have signed up so far, I think it looks promising:

New Goalie
New Fullback Edwards Winnard New Fullback
Ryan Procter Joyce Turner
New Striker New Striker

It's an awful cleche but we have the nucleus of a good side there.

Have they signed up? Thought we only had Edwards, Procter, Ryan, Turner, Winnard and Joyce so far.

Would like to see Miles retained and given a good crack at his natural position of striker. Think it is anyway. Looking back on his goals against Bradord and Rochdale, it's something we could use more :)

No need to panic! Just look at Hereford's situation in the pre-season of when they won promotion to Div.1. I think Turner only had about 5 players signed up until just before kick off, and their messageboard moaners were having a field day.:D
My only worry is that we haven't yet made the 2 most important signings of all.

I dont beleive with the squad so far we will get further than bottom of L2 atm, yes management duo needs signing, but they need to be signing too if club sorts management contracts out asap.

Craig Linfield would be an astute signing, a real workhorse and a good target man who can hold the play up while bringing others in to play.

A good pre-season under his belt and he would definately be one of the answers to our current lack of Strikers Depatment:)

Symes and Grand had done nothing until last season, Kee was a relative unknown to us also, I think Linfield can do a job, and I for one think he's a great addition to the squad.

VALAIRIAN 04-06-2010 08:09

Re: Billy Kee

Kee, who has recently been released by Leicester after spending a season on loan at the Reds, actually met Torquay boss Paul Buckle for talks this week.

Dean Sheehan, the Northern Ireland Under-21 international’s agent, said: "There are a number of clubs interested in him.

"It isn’t about money – he is looking for the right club and the right manager to help him develop, because we feel he has the potential to be a Dean Windass."

Typical agent comments, how on earth could Torquay be the "Right club??" By no means am I saying that we are, but they ain't!!

Sorry about bumping this, but I have received this from the friend of a Gulls fan I know.

I went to Tiverton on Monday night and there saw the finest display by a Torquay United centre-forward since you-know-who (Robin Stubbs). I don't know how United managed to get hold of Kee, but he's an absolute gem. I can guarantee that he'll win Player of the year at the end of the season AND be the highest goalscorer. His finishing was just out of this world; ok. it was a very poor Tiverton side, but everything he did seem to turn to gold.

Ah, well ......:(:(:(

Just dug this up from years ago. I can remember when this kid came to us first time round and I always thought he would be a special player for us, but never really knew just how special :)

Yet another man of the match performance yesterday, but this is now what we have come to expect :)

Really glad the lad came back to us, as I cannot think we would be where we are now without him....

Crooks, Windass, Conneely, whomever.... Billy has been the man for me this season :) Hope we can keep hold of him for next season..... (in league 1;) )
