Re: Billy Kee
As for the goalkeeper situation...
Arthur 'thinking over' an Accrington return (From Lancashire Telegraph) ...the headline looks promising, but then you read the article and realise that's it's just another newspaper non-story. |
Re: Billy Kee
Good Luck to Billy, once again I think he will go on to have a decent FL Career
|
Re: Billy Kee
Gutted :(
Good luck Billy lad, I have a worrying feeling hes gonna score a hatful for them next season. |
Re: Billy Kee
No doubt the Lancs Telegraph will soon be reporting this negative news !!!!

Re: Billy Kee
Gutted about Billy though, he was the one player in our squad last season, that really did have something different, best of luck to the lad, he served us well, it is now up to Coley to set about rebuilding our squad!! :) :)
|
Re: Billy Kee
Think everyones gutted mate, though its hardly suprising.
|
Re: Billy Kee
Really gutted :(:(
Not looking good so far unless coley gets some new talent in quick! |

Have they signed up? Thought we only had Edwards, Procter, Ryan, Turner, Winnard and Joyce so far. Would like to see Miles retained and given a good crack at his natural position of striker. Think it is anyway. Looking back on his goals against Bradord and Rochdale, it's something we could use more :) |

My only worry is that we haven't yet made the 2 most important signings of all. |

|
Re: Billy Kee
..... put in money to keep player and get new one sel the club.
|
Re: Billy Kee
:) :) :)

Re: Billy Kee
Craig Linfield would be an astute signing, a real workhorse and a good target man who can hold the play up while bringing others in to play.
A good pre-season under his belt and he would definately be one of the answers to our current lack of Strikers Depatment:) |
Re: Billy Kee
:confused:Don't think Ian Dunbavins signed up yet!! But think by end of tomorrow we'll find out who out of the current squad are staying, after John C told the players to make your mind up for this friday:) On the Billy Kee move,All at the club today were in shock about Billy signing for Torquay and Darran Kempsons move to Grimsby NO ONE knew anything:(

Re: Billy Kee
Kee, who has recently been released by Leicester after spending a season on loan at the Reds, actually met Torquay boss Paul Buckle for talks this week.
Dean Sheehan, the Northern Ireland Under-21 international’s agent, said: "There are a number of clubs interested in him. "It isn’t about money – he is looking for the right club and the right manager to help him develop, because we feel he has the potential to be a Dean Windass." Typical agent comments, how on earth could Torquay be the "Right club??" By no means am I saying that we are, but they ain't!! |
Re: Billy Kee
:( agents want kicking out of the game :(
|
Re: Billy Kee
Maybe he preferred to live in Torquay as opposed to Accrington!
|
Re: Billy Kee
Id agree Linfield would be a good signing.
He has showed gilmpses of magic before. Bring him in ! |

My bad. Glad we have 2 strikers now (if Miles has signed :) )

Re: Billy Kee
Sorry about bumping this, but I have received this from the friend of a Gulls fan I know.
I went to Tiverton on Monday night and there saw the finest display by a Torquay United centre-forward since you-know-who (Robin Stubbs). I don't know how United managed to get hold of Kee, but he's an absolute gem. I can guarantee that he'll win Player of the year at the end of the season AND be the highest goalscorer. His finishing was just out of this world; ok. it was a very poor Tiverton side, but everything he did seem to turn to gold. Ah, well ......:(:(:( |

Re: Billy Kee
No doubt he will score goals this season.
He was just unlucky he was up against Grant & Symes here. Shame as he would have been number 1 striker here this season I feel. Onwards & Upwards |

Re: Billy, Billy Kee, Billy, Billy Kee....
Just dug this up from years ago. I can remember when this kid came to us first time round and I always thought he would be a special player for us, but never really knew just how special :)
Yet another man of the match performance yesterday, but this is now what we have come to expect :) Really glad the lad came back to us, as I cannot think we would be where we are now without him.... Crooks, Windass, Conneely, whomever.... Billy has been the man for me this season :) Hope we can keep hold of him for next season..... (in league 1;) ) :) :) :) |

listened to radio lancs before the game and heard that billy is in talks about his contract extention for next season. hope this is true and successful. keep everything crossed. |
Re: Billy Kee
Considering his strength and build (which he needs to constantly shrug off the wrestling challenges from defenders), it was incredible how quick he was closing players down yesterday, right up to the 94th minute. Absolute machine.
|
Re: Billy Kee
Great to read some of these old comments.
As for Craig Lindfield?!? hmmmm |
Re: Billy Kee
Billy Kee is a player i have always rated n hes even better now, :) but then what do i know,
