Could it even be played on the Monday, like Stevenage v Portsmouth? Hope not - I'm away on the Monday.

Might be a good idea to get Mullers back from Morecambe, Sol Campbell just joined Newcastle :D

Sky listings have the matches down as Wed/Thursday. They have City v Liverpool on Monday night

Sky Sports | Football | On Sky TV

I had a funny feeling in me waters that we'd get Newcastle in the second round !!!! Should be a real money spinner and Sky might want a look at this one !!!

However....I dare say the local plod may have a say in whether or not this goes ahead at the Crown.:(

It goes without saying it's all ticket and I think we could probably sell the ground out two or three times over, such will be the demand,however.... what would the cost of policing this at our stadium be??? :confused:If that is indeed a pheasable operation to police, knowing that the geordies travel in large numbers.

I've got a feeling that this one will end up switched to a neutral venue !:o

You could say that yes. There will be the the odd couple who act like retards. Hopefully this fixture gets put on Sky, and it's a sell out, this fixture is really beneficial for you in a way, the amount of money you lot will get from it. Maybe you might record one of the most famous cup shocks in history.;)

I don't think venue switching is allowed these days, unless it's exceptional like a non league team drawing the big boys. A football league club would be expected to handle a game of this nature.

Your team were able to host Fulham without a hitch. I think the point of these sorts of cups are that sometimes you play at big grounds, and sometimes you play at the smallest in the football league. As a Geordie I can't wait and I'd rather it was played at Crown Ground, a chance to tick off another stadium!

Watching Big Brother at the mo. The Geordie narrator hasn't mentioned the draw yet, I think he might be worried about a cup shock :D.

'its 9.45 at the Croown Groonnd and the Toon are reflecting on a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Accrington Stanlee, whyhye man ;)
