Well Davo...if the 'LT' can be believed, here's one potential 'mention' at least !/

Sky Sports had conducted a lengthy interview with O’Neill last week to preview the game, but it is now unclear whether he will be still be at the club by the time the match takes place.

I wait with 'bated breath !

I think its connected with Sky having to allow the BBC access to Sky Sports 1 & 2

A friend of mine went for his Newcastle tickets yesterday and he said that both O'Neill and Whalley were in the office.

As far as I know Whalley is never away from the place. I don't think that anybody has the guts to tell him to get out

If people are coming to the ground with cash for tickets then the cardboard millionaire won't be too far away.

i really hope it is not the scum bag o'neill talking on behalf of the club to the sky cameras.
that would leave a sour taste.

My Dear Expat !...(Whoever you happen to be !)

That is just about the most ludicrous thing that I have ever seen written in any post on this Forum !.
If you had any interest in, or any influence over events at Accrington Stanley ,then you would know that JC seldom wears any form of Neckwear until it is absolutely necessary, and never looks quite comfortable when doing so !.
However, seeing that it is a very special day for us all,
I think that I can find it in my heart to forgive you for making this superfluous query....and hopefully will speak to you in a few Hours !!..(Whoever you happen to be !!)

How do you work that out? Sky is a private company that has to make money to survive. It is not given public handouts like the BBC.

Maybe you should be complaining to the BBC as to why there is not a BBC Sports channel.

I have no problem with sky charging, and i agree it would be preferable it if the bbc returned to a news only broadcaster and the license fee was reduced down to £10.
However, not having sky sports news wont have me rushing out to get a sky subscription. I doubt many people have; the internet provides all the football news anyone could need and for free.
Sites such as newsnow.co.uk are perfect for keeping up to date.

as the song goes feeding off the hands that bleed more like sky could be struggling to make their bank repayments you wont hear that anywhere because they control the media they are a company who have got too big and will burst

Nobody needs to get ripped of if you want it you buy it just like going to the pub, I've always had a full Sky service, because its the only pleasure I have these days, an at a around £12 a week for the basic full Monty I think its value for money considering a night in the pub now cost £25/30

Re: sky sports news

thats why i dont mind sky; if you want it - you pay for it (unless you have one of those dodgy satellite dishes or virgin boxes which are on sale in the sunday market).
The same as virgin media or BT vision (which are not as good).

But im stuck with the bbc and its rubbish. The only thing I watch is the football league show and it does not start until the early hours.
