New Ground (fantastic) But what about the next five years at the Crown
Notwithstanding the fantastic proposal made by Ilyas Khan to fund the building of a new stadium for Accrington Stanley; it strikes me that we’re taking our eye off the ball and the realities of today. The Khan Stadium is at least three to five years away, longer if it is to be a major regeneration project involving the community, business and the council, rather than just a stadium on its own.
So what about now? With have still to fund the Crown Ground development to meet the requirements of League Two, and with what’s happening on the pitch there is a distinct possibility of facing new pressures next season should we be elevated to League One. So what is there to be done now and how is it going to be achieved; things don’t seem as bad as they really appear at the club the team led by coley and Jimmy seem hell bent on taking on all comers and bloodying noses across the leagues so how do we face the next five years at the Crown. |
Re: New Ground (fantastic) But what about the next five years at the Crown
Ilyas has said that he meet any shortfall in revenue in the interim ... and I would expect that would continue if the new share issue goes ahead and the plans for the new stadium are set in motion.
If the new share issue is blocked and D'ON/Eric remain in control, I wouldn't expect Ilyas to keep funding their failures indefinitely. So, we'll continue to accrue debts and sell our players. |
